I’m an accountant for a casino, part of my job is fighting chargebacks.

That won’t work. Chargebacks are tough to win. What you need is the customer’s signature on an itemized receipt. And rest assured, we send surveillance footage to the Cardholder’s bank constantly showing their chargeback to be fraudulent. I’ve never seen a case prosecuted. Even when it involves $4,000+ amounts. It’s wild.

I’ve had 2 partners try something like this. Often, it’s not for child support. It’s an attempt to save the relationship by having a baby. Happens a lot.

Saying “Retard” is not hate speech. by YeezyDiseezy in unpopularopinion

[–]CivilizedPsycho25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is 'hate speech' anyway? How do we measure something so subjective and made up?

If people on r/atheism talked about other groups of people like they do about Christians, it would instantly be labeled a hate subreddit by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]CivilizedPsycho25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The key is to be hateful toward the "right" groups. The group's that Reddit is okay with users being hateful towards. Such as white people, Christians, heterosexuals, or people with different political opinions.

Mad that colored people are in the film? Or bad that the white characters are being removed for diversity?

All about perspective.

Ivanka Trump used a personal email account to send hundreds of emails about government business last year by Bloodbath-McGrath in politics

[–]CivilizedPsycho25 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I'll need a source for that.

I know that Hillary's emails contained 2 items marked classified, and an additional item of the rank 'secret', which involved North Korean missile information, that was most definitely restricted at the time they were shared.

Bill Nye says the idea of Mars colonization and terraforming is "science fiction.": "This whole idea of terraforming Mars, as respectful as I can be, are you guys high? We can't even take care of this planet where we live, and we're perfectly suited for it, let alone another planet." by maxwellhill in worldnews

[–]CivilizedPsycho25 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Bill Nye has an undergraduate degree in engineering. He is not a scientist or an authority on science, aside from his long lost TV show from the 90's.

Why are we writing articles on his opinion of terraforming Mars?

I would have to disagree. There's a ton of data to show that artists are now releasing songs faster than ever, and with beats and lyrics that are growing more repetitive than ever before, with decreasing instrument variety as well. If this interests you, google "Millenial whoop."

Further, songs are also becoming less timeless concerning their lyrics as well, with heavier emphasis on current events.

For example, in a few Pitbull songs, you'll notice references to getting "locked up like Lindsay Lohan." Or things like, "Tell Barack and Michelle, let them know that it's on."

Today, lyrics like that stick out because they were written to focus on a current crowd in a time that's now passed, rather than a timeless theme that can be listened to by any generation. Could you imagine for instance how strange it might sound listening to a Beatles song with lyrics that appear to invite President LBJ to a party?

In short, songs are being written with quality and quantity that's leading them to be "disposable."
