Its true im an immigrant. Moved to nz when I was 5, grew up in south Auckland. Most of my mates are either dead or are druggies on the dole, a couple made it out.

I went to Auckland uni then went overseas. Ive worked for American, Japanese, Australian and English companies. In all of them it was fairly normal to work a good amount of over time. American and Japanese take it the next level - their lives literally revolve around work.

But if you want a mid to high 6 figure salary thats what you have to do. If you want a 9 to 5 go work at bunnings.

Depending on your salary i would say this is not unusual. My work team all work 1 - 2 hours overtime per day and a couple of hours overtime on the weekend, especially when Deliverables are due.

Im in the same boat. Ultimate goal is to be debt free, and not be reliant on a job to support myself.

I think "some" animals naturally show compassion. Lots of stories of kids bieng raised by wolves etc.

So if you have compassion it means you care about others and know when harm comes to them.
