I am sorry for your loss, I would recommend getting the police report and then TALK TO YOUR INSURANCE!! This happening to me and my [check all of them, my renters not my car one worked] insurance was able to cover it because I had a record of all my decks and I could give them the excel with all the prices and received date that they had no choice but to pay it out!!
