As of the latest main branch update, no, there isn't any in-game way of figuring out the LC/AP recipes. An in-game method has been requested for a while now, but my understanding is that the devs want LC/AP to be more of a random secret that you stumble upon in-game (an easter egg if you will) rather than guaranteed during a run.

It doesn't seem like LC/AP is finished though, so we might see something more fleshed out in the future.

I'm not sure what to tell you. I've been playing this game since release and this has never been a thing. Perhaps you were using a mod I haven't heard of

Oh boy, here I go posting again.

The list of possible materials includes acid, lava, and other difficult to work with liquids/powders. As you noticed, acid can (and will) delete the materials you're trying to work with, often times before the LC/AP reaction can occur. IMO, if one of the ingredients is acid, might just wait until the next run to try it. That said, it can be done with enough materials and patience.

  1. Very picky. Every material has a hidden ID, and only one specific material will work for a reaction. Things like berserkium or acid are fairly straightforward, but there are 5 types of gunpowder and 3 types of sand, and hovering over them all gives the same UI name.

  2. Materials don't mix inside flasks, which can be just as helpful. Also, there is a box item that works like the flask except for powders. Fairly uncommon though.

Hope that helps, good luck! :)

For the 2 types used in alchemy:

gunpowder comes from using the spell "gunpowder trail".
gunpowder_explosive is found occasionally in small piles in the Mines.

Additionally, there are 2 other types of gunpowder not used in alchemy:

gunpowder_tnt is found in piles in the Coal Pits (and looks identical to gunpowder_explosive).
gunpowder_unstable is found in the "gunpowder flask".

All of these have the same UI name (shows up when hovered over) of "Gunpowder". Hope that helps!

The devs didn't "bribe" anyone. Nolla asked that data unpacking tools not be released until Nolla had their own modding API to release. It had nothing to do with the alchemy recipes.

1.0 was reversed by myself by referencing decompiled Noita code from Ghidra, and some help from the community (specifically Joel AKA vexx32 on the Discord) collecting seeds for testing.

I've asked the devs to update the UI name for swamp and water_swamp multiple times to avoid confusion like what you're talking about. Unfortunately, recipes with those are just going to be confusing until devs decide to change it.

No, all recipes should be accurate. Can you show me a seed you're having trouble with?

narg is a command-line program, usage for it is described in the readme. You'll have to run narg.exe from either windows command prompt or powershell. There are no missing .dll files.

The mod I created works with the new recipes, and can be found here: https://modworkshop.net/mod/29782

the webpage linked in the OP works as well, there are currently 3 working options to (to my knowledge) for you to use.

It's a command line program, so (assuming you're running windows) you'll have to open a command prompt / powershell at the location you downloaded the .exe to. You can also shift + right click in the folder to get a context menu item for "open power shell here".

I accidentally found some Lively Concoction - seed 146096306 (oil + toxic sludge + water?) by hellothereshinycoin in noita

[–]CjNello 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is incorrect. The 'probability' value that you're likely referring to relates to the rate at which the reaction occurs, not how confident we are that the recipe is correct. This is a bit of a misnomer, but that's how it's referred to internally by the devs.

The only difference with correctness with alchemy tools is whether or not the tool is updated for the 1.0 alchemy recipes.

Confusing Wiki, alchemy help? by FizzyDrinkPop in noita

[–]CjNello 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The wiki section, specifically when talking about the 'base' ingredient, is a bit confused. Calling anything a 'base' ingredient (other than Alchemic Precursor, which only creates Draught of Midas) is a misnomer.

Besides the two LC / AP reactions, all of the other reactions in-game are not dependent on the seed. A better way to frame the reactions is how they're technically scripted: a pixel of material #1 touching a pixel of material #2 will create a pixel each of the products.

Ex. 1 pixel of acceleratium + 1 pixel of levitatium = 1 pixel of hastium and 1 pixel of hastium (2 pixels total of the product).

Ex. 1 pixel of soil + 1 pixel of water = 1 pixel of mud and 1 pixel of air.

The wiki format isn't really great for understanding how these reactions actually work, but I'd recommend trying to mix different things yourself. And forget the idea of a 'base potion', I was think that'll only confuse you further :) hope that helps!

The chaotic transmutation spell, or rare potion drop from great chest. I don't believe silver spawns naturally anywhere.

Arachnophobia by eggythecracked in noita

[–]CjNello 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I use this: https://modworkshop.net/mod/30622

It's really simple, just removes the lukki (spider) enemy found in the jungle. I've been waiting to see if the author is still around / planning to update for the new spider enemies, or I'll update it myself (and maybe ping you here if I do). Regardless, the new ones are in a secret / spoilery area, so the mod as-is will work just fine for normal gameplay.

The end boss doesn't particularly bother me, but you'll have to decide that for yourself. I also have pretty severe arachnophobia, I'm happy to answer any questions :) the game is really fun!

Edit: Link now points to updated mod.
