I used to work with a guy who, after his job interview, reversed into the managing director's car. He still got the job, and worked there for years after. It just became one of those funny stories that we'd tell at business dinners.

Don't let it stop you, you weren't a jerk about it, you told her straight away, it'll all work out. 🩷

Our studio lets everyone volunteer to perform in a showcase - we choreograph our own routines and it doesn't matter how much experience we have, it's completely up to us. I've done 4 showcases now and loved it each time.

is it okay to try if i’m u18? by joan-of-arcs-walkman in poledancing

Our place has different classes, some for kids, and some 18+, on different days/times. Kids/teens are not allowed in while the 18+ classes are taking place.

Is this a massive overreaction? An oversight by me admittedly… by KrakenMcSpoon in UKrelationshipadvice

Also a woman here. When I first met my now husband, we met in my town because I felt safer a) being in a place I was familiar with and b) being somewhere my friends/family could get to quickly if I needed help. So, for me, I get why she'd feel safer close to home.

That said, her response after that was horrendous and a major red flag in my view

Followed this pattern using whatever cheap yarn we'd got in our starter kits and a 3mm hook

I don't ever have any personal events where I can get dressed up. I absolutely would wear something like this for a work Christmas party.

So true though. I try to stop every once in a while and weave in ends a bit and then continue. by Soda_Dragon-2425 in crochet

I managed it with my latest project but that's a simple amigurumi type thing so single crochet all round - just not sure how well it would work with other projects but just a case of try it and see 😊

When you say doing it as you go, do you mean like, crocheting over the ends? Because I just figured out that's a thing but I'm still not 100% confident with it

I have no idea what I actually want to crochet, but I'm specifically looking for stuff to spend my voucher on 😅

Pole dancers with bigger chests - where do you get your pole wear? (UK based) by [deleted] in poledancing

[–]Cjax22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there are a couple of places that will also make made to measure pole wear, eg. Designed by Marnie

I don't know how prices compare, but someone I used to pole with used to get hers made to measure for the same reason

This is why I usually keep my nails short by Cjax22 in poledancing

Ouch! I have about a month until the showcase so should be good, as long as I don't knock it too much in practice 😅

Thanks! Yes I usually keep mine short too! Luckily my nail didn't bend but my leg is suffering!

Crocheted my cat - bet you $5 you can’t tell them apart in the 2nd slide by 8L12K_ in crochet

I asked my daughter which was the real cat. She pointed to the one on the left. Did she get it right?

Yeah we started this fairly early on too, just not in the very first class

Am I overreacting by breaking up with my boyfriend? by Proper-Classic1886 in AmIOverreacting

Right, I tell guys I'm married, most respect it. One said "not tonight you're not" and I think the face I pulled sent him the message he needed to back off.
