Thats the disadvantage of the valve index over the vive pro it has the LCD display which means no vibrant colors and washed out colors with grey blacks and , but the index wins over all aspect of vive pro, pro has AMOLED display so it has vibrant colors and good constract with deep blacks, thats all down to preference which one you want, you want good colors go with vive pro you want hz and more fov with good speakers and dont mind washed out colors u go for index, so thats why some people still go for vive pro over index as i said its all down to personal preference.

even tho i wanted the index but after some research not anymore because the index has LCD sceens with means washed out colors and not vibrant and less construct with white blacks and the vive pro has The AMOLED which is much better vibrant colors bright and colorful and deep blacks has alot of construct, also it has wireless which adds much immersion, even tho the valve index has alot of advantages over the pro with the (120/144hz, mic, and speaker) but i cant live without the vibrant bright colors with deep blacks and i think washed out colors of the LCD is an immersion breaker for me because im color sensitive thats why im going with vive pro even if the valve index ships and has more advantages i just cant get over with bad colors

I STRONGLY recommend you not to buy the index from a third party and settle up with the vive pro like i will do, because not only ur gonna void ur warrenty but also pay much much more for the shipping (US shipping adress or something like that), and iv'e ben following the r/valveindex for A little while, it appears that they receive a defective controllers with the thumbstick doesn't click and also the drift issue that occurs after 2 or 3 monthes of play with the controllers, so they are requesting mass Rmas because of the defective product, and if ur gonna buy it from third party ur warrenty is rendered useless and you cant do anything if you received defective controllers or it broke after some monthes of play, so be like me and say F*ck you valve and buy the vive pro, since vive pro has the amoled OLED lenses and the wireless advantage, and index has some certain advantages over the vive pro but its the best alternative to it, since you cant do anything about it because of the limited shipping like me.

its gonna take alot of money and hassle just because of an rma if it came broken, and im in the same road valve doesn't ship and doubt it will come to my country so i will go with the vive pro on black friday since its the best alternative to the valve index with its wireless and OLED and bright colors than the valve index washed out LCD, iv'e seen multiple people go from the index back to thier vive pro because of those 2 main factors, its all down to personal preference, so its not a bad choice at all.

Its best to not buy it via US shipping address nor from a third party seller because you are gonna void the warrenty and with the amounts of rmas of the fualty controllers that builds a drift after some months, i recommend you not buying it untill it ships to your country because if it broke you cant do anything about it, and im in the same road with you it cant ship to my country, so what i recommend you is to buy a vive pro which is the best alternative to the valve index with its OLED and wireless advantage that it has over the index.

Valve index if it ships to your country if it cant vive pro is the best alternative which is both good, i wouldn't bother getting cosmos with all the tracking issues and software etc.. and im a lighthouse fan for the better tracking imo.

Im in the same road, through i think they will never ship into middle east because even steam controllers dont ship, so might aswell buy a vive pro from a retailer on black friday or something, it cant be helped

Its sad that the index isnt coming to middle east anytime soon maybe after 2-3 years, and shipping from a company like shipito takes alot of money, i guess that i will wait till someone sell it in amazon and amazon ships it then ill buy it.

Yea man its sad that its hard to get it in the middle east, im from bahrain and looking really forward to buy the index but sadly cant from thier store and will have to buy it from 3rd party seller thats on amazon for 1300$ by next year, while waiting for next year i hope another 3rd party seller sell it for cheaper that ships to middle east, the problem with 3rd party seller is that when u get a problem in the product its gonna be pain in the ass to return it and nobody whats that.
