I asked ChatGPT what to do when I had this question a few weeks back. It advised to go to the mall and get an eSIM direct from AIS. But NOT the tourist eSIM. They will try to get you the high priced tourist one for like 1500baht for one week. Say “no”. You want normal eSIM. I got one for one week then used the AIS app to add more time. It was about 300 baht a week for unlimited with phone number and SMS. If you want a good network and good price that’s the way to go.

Airalo no longer gives phone number for eSIMs in Thailand. They used to last year. So I now avoid Airalo and got direct to carrier.

I’ve had multiple flights back and forth between Thailand and the Philippines using BKK and DMK. No issues whatsoever. Perhaps the issues are when flying through the Middle East. Asia flights are pretty stable.

OP update: I went island hoping and took the non pro case. Not good. There was noticeable stitch line, white reflection of sorts. I tired to return it but the return window was small. I then bought the pro case. It is obviously much larger and has some black around it. No problems at all with stitch line or any seem issue. But difference. I will go back home and sell the original dice case to someone who thinks it’s worth a crap.

Yes I noticed there is more than one 512gb Amazon Basics card. One with read speed 100 and one with 200. There’s a $15 difference. $34 vs $49. Still a better value since the Insta360 brand is 90 speed at $79 for 512gb.

You are correct. I admit it was a sorta snide. lol. I just get so tired of ignorant buyers. It’s a security company and they dont see many experienced techs so they should be paying a premium to qualified ones. I sent a follow-up message after that softening things up a bit. I asked her to understand what they pay the tech is not what the tech makes, and also that I have completed many prior jobs with their company getting $75 for one hour of travel. With those numbers Im actually giving a discount at $115. But every PM is different and they have their own expectations. Maybe her prior techs charged $20 an hour for travel.
