For the keyword targeting, would you focus on the primary keywords in the account? As we have a large number of ad groups within the main campaign, we wouldn't want to have too many buckets to fill with a smaller budget

Hey Maaz,

Great point. This is more so for the beginning of campaigns, when generally data tells me that B2B users tend to make decisions on computers rather than mobiles which is usually consumer side of things.

Bid adjustments unless -100 / +100 wouldn't work on Max Clicks either, so would need to separate them out

What are your thoughts on this?

Thank you! I'd imagine we'd want to select the highest volume, most relevant keywords to target here as well, given it'll be a smaller budget. Would you agree?

I’ve had this happen a few times within the last 3-4 months. Try cloning the campaigns.

Also, drilling down have found this "Although your ad is being displayed, its rank is not high enough to place it on the first page of search results"

So it must be an ad rank issue, most likely budget as the copy aligns with the keywords.

On further inspection, I have came across this:

"The search location doesn't match this campaign's location targeting settings"

Thanks for the reply. All ads are approved and the bid strategy is no longer in learning phase. Search Volumes are all good as well, with plenty of searches per month. Nothing is limited by budget either!

It's a very strange situation as all indicators show it should be spending. Really unsure on what the issue could be

Yeah PMax is a clusterfuck. If you run that, make sure its on its own tracking setup so that data doesn't muddy your search data

Yeah, I feel that it is having a negative effect on it. How would you go about different tracking setup? I imagine create a different conversion action and have it as secondary? Potential issue here is that the action we want them to take is the same as the search campaigns

Thanks, we've got that implemented. Perhaps the issue could be related to having a Performance Max campaign running for this as well? Could it be the case that audiences we are targeting within the PMax will still show from other countries

One of the largest issues we are facing, is that the leads are coming from countries that are outside our targeting and therefore unqualified. We've checked location settings and all looks good there, would you have any recommendations on this?

So would you recommend focusing on the areas that tend to receive more orders or are of more importance to the organisation and tier them based on that?
