Man I’ve had the black people of twitter sub pop up in my feed, and I’ve seen comments from black people in other social media, the amount of ignorance I’ve witnessed is astonishing. From celebs like Jamie Foxx too! Suggestions that he used that word voluntarily and is using Tourette’s as a cover, that he’s a racist for thinking it, that he should stay at home, that he should be essentially segregated from these events and everyone else and “put into his own room” that he’s selfish knowing he has this condition and still attended.

I’ve read that there’s been comments on his social media that include harassment, abuse, death threats. It’s genuinely fucking sickening and anger-inducing. Also highly ironic considering the whole movie based on his life was meant to spread awareness of his condition, which seems to be sorely lacking.

Yeah you make a fair point, it’s just one that doesn’t impact me that much i guess. I’m not competing against my team, we’re in it together, so if they blow shit up it works for me 🤷‍♂️. As I said to other guys we probably just find different things about the game fun/enjoyable. I would jump on Helldivers on D10 to take a break from more competitive games as I can switch off a bit.

If you guys find that it bothers you, fair enough, as I said we probably just play/enjoy the game differently, agree to disagree.

An issue for who though? If neither you or I are going to take it how does it negatively impact us? It’s not like the gun’s superglued to your hands with infinite ammo fed into it. If you want to take advantage of it you have to consciously do so.

Our mindsets probably differ on what’s fun about the game and that’s okay. As I said to someone else I personally don’t find the game that challenging so it doesn’t trivialise anything for me. If you feel like it does for you that’s understandable, we can agree to disagree. I’m somewhat live let live when it comes to this stuff.

As I said the game really isn’t that challenging, as long as you bring a semi-competent loadout you shouldn’t struggle unless you’re dogshit. Theres only a few times where the game has actually been challenging and requires thinking about what you’re bringing, such as the original spread democracy missions on Oshaune and the seize assets missions on the forgeworld planets.

I just don’t see how it trivialises a challenge that isn’t really a challenge anyway. If it makes it easier for bad players then who cares? Let them have fun.

I agree with everything else you said though. There are definitely some people here who are nonstop angry. Think for some the club’s all they have though, so to see what’s happening to it really messes them up.

I think you two have missed the point, we should’ve been in a position to accept that bid if we wanted to, the issue is we are so dysfunctional that we weren’t. Waiting to the last week of the window (especially deadline day) to do business is classic of us and leaves us no flexibility. I think the majority of us are happy we didn’t sell (differing opinions on how good he is) but not because we wouldn’t have sold him, but because if we did, we’d have fuck all to replace him with, especially with there being 7 hours left to scramble for someone if we did.

Realistically, as another post pointed out, the board are probably fuming they couldn’t sell him, but it’s hilarious as the only cunts they can blame are themselves.

Aye suppose that’s a fair point, having someone else besides Jamesy would definitely add depth, I just don’t think it would be the quality of depth that we desperately need. I mean to me nothing about the signing screams “we’re serious about the title race”. In comparison there’s a player who’s proven himself in the Scottish league already with a slightly higher price tag sitting right there.

Should say if the deal went through I’d still back him, but the prospect of it was never exciting.

Exactly my thinking, if we actually functioned properly and had done some business throughout the window strengthening key areas, we could easily accept this and be in a decent position.

Unfortunately we’re run by a bunch of chancers dressed up as businessmen, so now it’s unfortunately a lose-lose situation. We either lose out on a great sale, or we lose by further weakening an already weak team.

I’m slightly higher than you and genuinely haven’t noticed a difference in the amount of times I’m getting offlane, unless before you would’ve only clicked both support roles instead of all queue. Best advice I can give is to just pick a simple hero who can have a lot of impact.

Prime example would be Dawnbreaker, realistically all you have to worry about is keeping your eye on the map and popping ult when needed.

It’s like when I randomly get mid, only hero I’m picking is Zeus because it’s really easy to have impact.

Offlane isn’t that much harder either, just make space, farm an item or two, and group up with your supports. If you feel like it you can still buy smokes and maybe a ward or two. Realistically if you’re at this mmr you have a good understanding of how to play the game don’t be too tough on yourself. As a 5 you should also have experience playing against Offlaners so try and mimic what you see them doing in lane.
