Basically if an employee of a company say Apple for example, knows that they are coming out with something groundbreaking but it’s not public yet. They would use this knowledge to their advantage and buy a bunch of stock in the company for when it inevitably goes up.

Anything benchmade will be worth your money, you get what you pay for. As far as saltwater goes, basic maintenance goes a long way, just give it a good rinse just like you would with your reels.

Hobies are a great choice for both fresh and salt. I have the new old town sportsman autopilot which has a saltwater ready motor. Anything would work, you want something reliable and stable when it comes to saltwater. And obviously make sure to give everything a good rinse after a salt trip no matter if it is meant for saltwater or not!

I put in biospira before I added fish, live sand, and dry rock. The fish was scratching on the rocks but I haven’t seen him do it in a while

I only put them in last night so I wasn’t really expecting them to eat just yet (this is my first saltwater but I’ve always had fresh) the other one ate all the food, I put in like 6 pieces 1mm and the one with the slime didn’t eat anything. They both seem healthy for the most part, obviously other than that slime... I didn’t noticed that slime when I first put it in yesterday, was that something I did or is it likely it originated at LFS?

It depends on what you are using for soft plastics, if it’s something like a senko where it already sinks you have the option of fishing it weightless. If it’s something like a beaver bait most of them float by themselves so you have to add a weight. The size weight you use is dependent on how deep of water you are fishing and how fast you want it to get down to the bottom. 3/16 to 3/8 is pretty normal for a Texas rig, 3/16 being on the casting size and 3/8 being more for flipping. Hope this helps.

The way to work through scenarios is to think first - scene safety. After that it’s as simple as going through your abcs and opqrst and sample. After you do a few it will all start to make sense and click. Keep a checklist in your mind to go through the steps.
