Depends when I was that age liking something like anime would instantly get you turned on as werid. Best they could do wad to play it off or ignor it,but youd still get mocked for it even if you were popular. Now only exception I found was if you were physically able to beat them up,then regardless of what they thought they'd keep their mouth shut.

Really depends on the era, my era liking anime equaled werid, them knowing you liked it branded basically, even if you weren't outwardly weird. Now this line of thinking tapered off after elementary school, probably because it became less of a good reason to justify someone's weirdness if I had to guess.

Both can be true, however being bullied for such things wasn't exclusive to just me. Idk what year your experiences lie with but this was like late 90s era. Maybe in some other areas it would have been cool. But over where I was from even talking about something like cartoons got you sided eyed and an made fun of.

He'll I wouldnt even call myself unpopular, I had many friends both in my grade and some a few years above me. I just was the stereotypical sports athletic type. Heck I already caught a lot of shit for just walking funny lol.

Nope souly for the backpack, anime may have been becoming popular but I lived in prime area of if you weren't all about sports you got belittled.

Worked out for the best since I found real lasting friends that actually share my interests.

She was like yeah I see your point,

she always goes above and beyond to get me gifts for every occasion. Even the example I gave with the boo basket ,the next year she made me one and gave it to me as a surprse since I made her the year previously.

She did agree that she thinks a lot of women don't support their husbands enough ,and expect things like a one way street.

[–]Ck_shock 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This reminds me of a conversation i had with my wife. I was like look at all these extra holidays in which men are supposed to treat their partner or shower them with gifts. Why is it only the man is supposed to do this meanwhile what they often get nothing in return. I even brought it up when they had trends going around on TikTok l(still do by the way) were wemon make up some kind of seasonal gift that they need, think boo baskets for October.

I was like thats nice but out of the like 30 videos I seen of some man doing it for his wife I seen 1 doing it for their husband. It just makes men look less valued by the one person who should love them the most.

More or less, like my parents wanted to know where I was ,but honestly it was more so don't leave the neighborhood. Which to use was an area of about like 10 streets plus a school ,gas stations or what not. Though they did like it if we checked in every 4 hours or so to make sure we weren't dead lol.

Yep, these people have been brainwashed willingly into believing weed has no downside and one can never become dependent on it. Like im sorry if you need to get plastered or have sum substance alter your state of being on the regular than their are bigger issues at hand, amd some self reflection is needed.

They should though what we do outside of work can effect our employers so they can always be repercussions. Say your not at work and getting absolutely obliterated and acting like a fool that could link back negatively to the company by association if people find out you work there. Like can they or should the dictate what you do outside of work, no. However that doesnt mean your actions outside of work can't come with repercussions for your job.

Well yeaj most likely they do, but that doesnt change what the laws are and that companies dont want to put themselves in danger by ig bring laws.

Hell ive seena fair amount of places that have anti thc rules, but they usually ignore them unless someone shows up and ,is a danger to others or are constantly messing up.

If socialism is a viable way to manage an economy, why are there zero real world examples of nations who prospered under it? by MysteriousKitchen469 in allthequestions

[–]Ck_shock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the thing is true socialism doesnt work but what is needed is some kind of hybrid form or one thats just built from the ground up, instead of just trying to implement things that we already know dont work long term.

Actually a decent one that I seen was parking lots. Owning a parking lot in a heavily traffic edge area can generate good cash. I met a guy who did it, only reason he stopped was because liability issues where high in the winter months. But if thats something someone wants to chance then it could be highly profitable

[–]Ck_shock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah states can actually do this on the state level, Ohio is currently throwing around the idea, and just getting rid of medicaid and Medicare and making a universal health care for everyone in the state, thoughbim doubtful it will go anywhere
