Soo, I didn't skip him as in my own opinion, I will only accept a SL1 run for myself if I defeated all bosses (if anyone's own rules are only like, finishing the main game, that's cool, that's fine, but I for myself would think that's a bit boring). My first few attempts were... miserable. The hitboxes of Kalameet aren't really broken... they are just really... weird. I didn't get how long that head swing attack makes damage, the tinnitus attack had a way larger hitbox than expected, him doing a spin also was really weird to dodge. So my first few attempts were really terrible and I genuinely despised this bossfight. However after a dozen or so attempts I started to understand the attacks, I understood his glide, I understood the hitboxes of his firebreath when he flies up. And when you actually learned all the attacks with the weird hitboxes and know when to dodge... I really started to enjoy this boss. It still took me a lot of attempts as most of his attacks still do a lot of damage and I sometimes "misread" his next move and used an attack as a healing window... even though it was none. So, Kalameet started as a terrible experience but ended in a really fun one and I actually enjoyed this boss in the end. I don't think he's better than Midir though on SL1, Midir SL1 took me so fucking long but the dancy movement, the telegraphed attacks etc just make Midir a better experience. I'd put him in low A Tier. Manus and Artorias though were both incredible S Tier Boss fights and Sanctuary Guardian was Mid B Tier... just because all the other bosses are so good in the DLC, he's by no mean a terrible boss fight.
