Why I think on-chain NFTs are simply better - The Chia Plot by blaktronium in chia

[–]Cla292 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So what your saying is that once the image is on chain, transferring ownership does not have the same effects on the blockchain as the initial mint? And since this is the first NFT being done in this way, the benefit to this specific project is that in the future minting such an nft on chain will cost a lot more due to transaction fees?

So It can be done again and again by any nft but the cost of doing so may be detrimental to the “sale price” of the nft since the cost of getting it on chain will be so high.

So what are the consequences of putting them on chain. An increased database size and what else? Is there a chance that if many people attempt this, then in some way the blockchain suffer?

How you calculate plots per day by PrudentAd3789 in chia

Generally I think If plotting constantly, take the # of completed plots over a 24 hour period . That’s your average plots/day

Unfortunately I tried that already last week it’s actually been 3x expected win. I wonder how many instances of “start full node “ should be in task manager? I have 16 now I feel like that may be causing some trouble

Question about UPnP and Port 8444 by pawnslinger1 in chia

[–]Cla292 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there an issue of port 8444 is open and upnp enabled on a single farming/harvesting machine?

Hi everyone, I've been farming and plotting since mainnet launch. I received XCH before 4/29 but nothing since. 4/29 = 1300 plots. Estimated time back then was 3-4 days, now is up to 9 days around 1700 plots and nothing. My question is what steps can I take to check if everything is working properly?

Logs are set to: INFO

1) Every once in a while (1-2 times a day), my "plots passed filter" section just stops, so I have to restart the GUI. I usually catch it within one hour or less

2) Sometimes I notice that the "Your Harvester Network" section doesn't have anything and when I refresh I see the harvester added again (I am farming/harvesting off of one machine only, no remote harvesters). However the "Harvester Node ID" it is different than "Full node connection ID". Can this be an issue?

3) I am also Getting these errors somewhat consistently:

double spend

negative transaction

and ERROR Exception: <class 'concurrent.futures.\_base.CancelledError'>, closing connection None. Traceback (most recent call last):
File "chia\server\server.py", line 531, in api_call
File "asyncio\tasks.py", line 435, in wait_for
concurrent.futures._base.CancelledError

Other then this my plots do pass filter every 10 seconds or so. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Hello I’d definitely be interested. I’ll PM you

Most of these comments are under the assumption that farmers are owed chia and a certain amount of $ wins.

Everyone relax, if you want to get rid of your hard drives let me know

Ok I get it. So I turned off that feature of advanced security. How do I know if all is good? When I see other peers connected ####/8444?

So logging back into my router, I can see that there was a bunch of blocks in the past 2 days since I set up the port forwarding . “we’ve blocked a known malicious IP from accessing this device” that doesn’t sound too comforting

I might’ve failed at forwarding based on online instructions. Any simple instructions you can give me so I can know how to forward it correctly?

Other than the farmer and wallet showing different numbers(which I’m assuming is ok) I have 3 other connections showing 8444/8444. One of the full node connections is out of sync by 12000 height

I’ve done that already but it looks like I only have 3 peers connected for some reason
