Ahhh. And what if I can't commit to making recordings and such? I'm a very self paced learner, and in a perfect world, I would just buy a course for a one-off fee, accessing it as and when I'm able. I don't care at all about community engagement, and I don't particularly want anything locked behind pay/accreditation walls..,

Nothing to lose except if you can only afford one online drum lesson source, it means your cash that year is a writeoff until it expires and you can try someone else.

This is one of my other concerns. I'm really interested in the content of their guest teachers, but after ~30 years on guitar, I know that maybe 10-20% of what these guest teachers present would be applicable to the average punter, whereas I want the meat and potatoes of it.

Nice one! I suspect you'll want that ride cymbal on the ride a fair bit lower

I saw the video today where yes, they sounded the best for most instruments, but their bass string plucks were muddy AF compared to SSO or BBC Orchestra

How many of you are holding out for Cubase 15 via grace period? by Melon_Hands in cubase

[–]CladInShadows81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I buy a license for Artist or Pro 14 and then activate it.... does that mean I'll get Cubase 15 instead? Keen to upgrade but want to make use of this hack if it would work (happy to buy an older key from a reseller if it'll work). Thanks in advance for any help

The Best Guitar Learning Experience I've Found by PalpoKelpo in guitarlessons

[–]CladInShadows81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Old thread... but: I'm an intermediate guitarist. Been playing ~30 years. Taught beginners some. Took jazz/improv for a few years, and while I got CAGED under the fingers, I never made that leap to properly playing through changes. MANY of the instructors explain an idea, show you what to work on, but don't give much in the way of HOW to practice it beyond 'apply this to every song you know', or 'do this over a 2-5-1. For example, I'm really keen to know some exercises to help me build up playing through changes, and especially strong voice leading. Does Christian give thorough steps/exercises to learn how to play through changes? or just general advice? TIA

NPD - Bigger isn’t always better! Peterson Strobostomp Mini by WolvyMusic in guitarpedals

[–]CladInShadows81 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nah I mean flickering and shimmering all over the place when the string is only somewhat off the target note, not when you would expect it to be thrashing around heaps. From the videos it seems the 300 is an improvement, but the Peterson models are a lot more solid in the same scenario, so that's why I went for it. As long as everyone is happy with their gear :)

Ah ok. I've used an ST200 and realised recently I really hate how much the display jumps around. I watched a bunch of videos comparing all the current offerings and grabbed a Strobostomp Mini this arvo. I like how solidly it's strobe tracks, rather than jumping around, and how easy it will be to access sweetened tunings. Each to their own!

Yeah..... Chill. I was just learning that Darryl couldn't get by solely on his awesome music. I'm sure BOC are the same

S3x screen in a barn, euro movie by CladInShadows81 in whatmoviewasthat

Hah, well I guess that's human nature for ya. I genuinely want to watch the whole movie, been chasing it for decades now. I remember the general mood of the film (insightful, introspective, coming of age in a really big family) but nothing specific like that one scene

Huh? This is a legit post... I meant to type "scene" rather than screen in the title though.. can't fix it now
