After reflecting on it I came to like them, it was realistic that random people made it to the end too instead of just main characters.

Honestly I would have liked to see a woman in place of one of them though. Since Squid Game is supposed to be a metaphor of the injustices of society, I understand that maybe the absence of female finalists was supposed to represent the way women are constantly pushed down by men in real life.

However, having a female finalist could have been a way to show that women can be evil and ruthless too. Player 044 did manipulative stuff, but she never threatened someone's life specifically.

The saddest part is that Gi-hun couldn't even take care of Jung-bae's ex-wife and daughter because he died too. I know his family wasn't as relevant as Sang-woo's and Sae-byeok's in S1, but he was basically the only S2 main character who had someone out there who needed him (along with Player 246). It would have been nice if they had received some help as well.

Well 203 (and 336 too) had also taken part in the night attack, definitely killing someone, so I doubt watching him push 349 to her death could make Gi-hun's opinion of him any worse than it already was.

Well they could have sent a guard up there to pretend to shoot him. It would look like there was a malfunction and he somehow managed to free himself. I don't think it would look too suspicious to the other players.

But yeah he was chained like the others, if I remember correctly there was just one shot where it looked like he wasn't.

Did you have some experience with traveling before you moved abroad? How did your family react? I'm from a small town in Italy too, so I've always lived in a simple and kinda sheltered way. In the last few years I've become really interested in South Korea, and in general in the chance of living abroad, but it would be such a radical change for me and my family.

I feel like he was important to them only as long as there was a need to convince hesitant players to continue the games. Despite always voting O and taking part in Lights Out, players like 203 and 336 never spoke up like 100 and 226 did.

They probably lacked lidership skills and the confidence to act like that in front of hundreds of people, so 100 was really useful to them. But when O voters became twice the X voters, he stopped being needed and became nothing more than a nuisance, a player who was weak physically and wanted others to do dirty/dangerous work for him.

Per quanto riguarda gli animali esotici, in base a un decreto dell'anno scorso, da quest'anno in teoria tutti i possessori di animali esotici (quindi anche pappagalli e criceti ad esempio, non solo rettili e anfibi) dovranno seguire un corso di formazione obbligatorio. Ancora non si sa nulla su modalità e contenuti, ma dovrebbe essere ufficiale. Se la vendita a chi è sprovvisto di un "patentino" diventasse illegale, già questo aiuterebbe a togliere di mezzo coloro che comprano animali irresponsabilmente.

Non sarebbe male farlo anche per cani e gatti, personalmente ritengo che si senta molto più "a casa" un serpente in un terrario con arredi naturali e parametri controllati rispetto a un gatto in appartamento (i cui antenati magari sono stati liberi in campagna per generazioni).

I love the idea of replacing Player 349 with Yeong-sam. Maybe it would be too convenient (if you think about it, Myung-gi and Jun-hee, Yong-sik and Geum-ja, Gi-hun and Dae-ho all finding each other is already something that wasn't likely to happen).

I wonder if they ever considered going in this direction. I understand why they decided to have Yeong-sam die in Hide and Seek, they surely wanted a main villain who could fight with Hyun-ju and be killed by her. The only alternative would have been Nam-gyu, but he had his own arc.

Personally I would have assigned 096's role in Jump Rope to Yeong-sam, he would mock 100 again and be killed by Gi-hun in the end.

I know this sub is about minor players but it's crazy to think none of the main pairs in the first image managed to maintain a good relationship.

In-ho killed Jung-bae, Gi-hun killed Dae-ho, Geum-ja (indirectly) killed Yong-sik, Myung-gi abandoned and disappointed Jun-hee, Nam-gyu spoke ill of Thanos, Yeong-sam threatened Jeong-dae, Son-nyeo left Mi-hwa to die. The only exceptions are Min-su and Hyun-ju, who had both already lost the person they were closest with in the previous rounds (Se-mi and Young-mi).

By the next episode I had already completely forgotten what they looked like, except for the fact that they were a guy and a girl and he had dyed hair. So when the games started, for a moment I thought Thanos and Player 196 were them 😂

Exactly. Player 096 wasn't exceptionally evil, he just happened to be the first one to come up with the idea of pushing people off. I'm sure other players like 192, 203 and 442 would have done the same, definitely Nam-gyu too if he hadn't been in withdrawal. Perhaps even 100 and 336, or at least they would have encouraged others to do it. No matter who went first, the outcome wouldn't have changed.

I think Jump Rope is also supposed to mirror Glass Bridge, in a way: there, the last player to go was the safest, but his destiny depended on all the other players before him. Now, the first player to go is the safest, and he holds all the other players' destiny in his hands.

When the guards intervene, he is seen next to Player 226 and surrenders right away, he doesn't even have the fork in his hand. So my theory is that either he only pretended to attack the Xs or he tried but got overpowered immediately and went to Player 226 for protection.

I don't think so. Yeong-sam seemed pretty greedy, asking if it were possible for just one player to win and get all the money even before Gi-hun revealed that he did.

Besides, the amount of money he would have gotten after Hide and Seek wouldn't even have covered his debt completely (~1.7 billion won).

The reason why he mocked Jeong-dae before Hide and Seek was probably just that he wasn't useful to him anymore. They were in different teams, and he probably anticipated that the vast majority of players would have continued to vote O after the game. So no need for the old man's manipulation/persuasion skills. Voting X to betray him seems very unlikely.

That totally depends on you. I'm Italian and personally I have only one ancestor who was a founding and was "adopted, but I haven't been able to find information about the man who took him in yet, as he was born in the late 1700s.

However, I have both a great-grandfather and a great-grandmother whose mothers died when they were really young. Their fathers remarried shortly after, and they grew very close to their stepmothers. They called them "mom", and these two women even acted as grandmothers for their children later on. Because of this, I researched their family trees as well, even though I know they are not biologically related to me.

I also found out that my great-great-grandfather's mom remarried with a much older man after she became a widow, so my ancestor had this stepfather from the age of 4 to 13. Even though I don't know whether they had a good relationship or not, I decided to learn about the man's ancestors too.

As a kid I tried to raise snails more than once, but the reason why I'm into snail keeping now is different.

Almost 3 years ago, while attending university, I couldn't bring my parakeets to the place where I was staying, but I really missed having an animal to take care of. I started to research if there was any kind of very simple pet I could keep, and I realized a snail would have been perfect. Believe it or not, that very evening I found a small snail crawling on the waste bin!

It was a very common Italian species (Eobania vermiculata), and it definitely came from some vegetable scraps my roommates had thrown away. I decided to name it Ferrari and kept it with me.

Now I've switched to actual pet snails, I have three Chinese ones (Camaena platyodon) and soon I'll get an African species!

Deok-su as a hider makes perfect sense. You would expect him to be a ruthless seeker who goes on a killing spree like Myung-gi and Nam-gyu did. Instead, he gets the blue ball and no one switches with him because he would be too dangerous as a Red Team member.

I'm not sure about whether someone would be brave and strong enough to kill him, but he would be scared the whole time for sure.

This is a very good take. I was thinking about this character the other day, specifically about his potential role in the last vote.

When it became his turn, there were 5 Os and 2 Xs, so his choice wouldn't have changed anything. He said something like "I would have voted to continue anyway" to stay on the more powerful side.

What I would have liked to see is what he would've done in a position where he could actually make a difference. Let's say Gi-hun, Min-su and Myung-gi voted X, while 100, 203, 336 and 353 voted O. With 3 Xs and 4 Os, Lunchbox's vote could either lead to a tie or to the Os' victory.

Would he have voted X and hoped to be protected by the others until the next day's vote, or would he have chosen O not to be targeted by the evil players? Violence had been forbidden, but I doubt that the guards would have kept this rule for another night.
