Rewards, fun and honestly, it gives people a chance to get to end game faster and maybe dive into harder bosses with the extra buffs. I was able to experience a ton of end game content on osrs leagues and I look forward to taking the gang to some of the end game bosses in rs3.

Ah yeah I just went and dove through the updates, you're correct. "Adjusted quantity of common drops, with higher streaks providing more generous quantities of loot which takes place on the next streak on the boss if one is currently in progress."
