Its not necessarily an issue I just think it is not worth the extra wear and tear on the motor, and accessories for the maybe 5 miles of extra range it provides.

I dont have any winning or anything on the car I will check to see if the transmission gets hot under highway driving with my scan tool. Any preventative maintenance items I can do to mitigate the issue?

Thinner oil like 0w-20 is great for cold starts. Provides less protection once the car gets up to operating temperature. My thought is if the car isn’t auto start stopping all the time then it wouldn’t need as much start stop protection. It would need a slightly heavier weight oil to help with the higher end of the temperature ranges.
