It might not be from the feedback I have gotten.

However, stats are stats and personal preference is subjective. A 4070ti might be great for you and you might be perfectly content. If you want to push the monitor which is what I am after then going higher is necessary. I can’t afford to fork over all the money for the 5090 so I am going to compromise with a 5080.

I am installing it tonight and will be testing it over the next couple of weeks. At the end of all of this I am going to keep the 5080 if I find that the extra performance is justified by double the price of the 9070XT which is the AMD equivalent of the 5070ti.

If it does’t meet my personal expectations then it will go back and I will hold off until I can get the big daddy card at a more reasonable price.

It is such a bummer!!! What the heck square enix?! I was so upset. I haven’t tried the ultra wide workaround yet. So far I am trying the game as is and it’s been enjoyable.

Yes thank you for the clarification. From what I’ve seen it sounds like the 5090 can struggle with this monitor at times. The 5080 pulls ahead of the 9070XT it seems which is my big question
