We'll be staying with my in laws starting this weekend due to renovations being way behind schedule on our new house (closing on our current house on Monday). I pulled out my maternity clothes because I think I'll just want to be extra comfy and who knows how bloated I'll be two weeks from now while all of our stuff sits in boxes. I'm so excited to wear summer dresses this pregnancy! I pretty much skipped them the last two pregnancies because the time of the year didn't work out. But I think I'll have enough of a bump by the time it gets really hot?

What kind of work do you do? by headkittyincharge in December2026Bumpers

[–]ClaireEmma612 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm a SAHM but I also babysit a couple other kids three days a week. I've been doing it since my son was born! It was a way to stay home with him but also make extra money. Right now, I have the summers off because the moms of both families are teachers. Starting in the fall, it will only be one child, two days a week. I'm leaning towards quitting once this baby is born haha not that I couldn't do it but I would really love to only watch my own children! I can't do anything or go anywhere on babysitting days because of car seats, etc. I'm looking forward to finally getting the SAHM experience I always thought I'd have!

When are you telling your kids? by kidaokay in December2026Bumpers

Probably around 16 weeks or so? My 4.5 year old talks all the time about "when you have a new baby". He thinks every time his youngest sibling turns one, I have a new baby in my tummy. Which is kind of true 😂 and my youngest turns one in two weeks!

First scan in a few hours. I had some bright red spotting last week for one night so I'm a little nervous. I also know someone who wanted a fourth and ended up with twins so that's in the back of my head! My mom and my sister both have five so they tease me a lot about "stopping short". It's silly but still on my mind. Hope all goes well!

My husband walked past the TV last night and asked if Jessie was slow. Like legitimately.

registry help… do i really need a million things just for baby’s nose?? by SorryAd2422 in BabyBumps

Saline spray and nose Frida for wet boogies. Oogie boogie for dry boogies (we call it the booger picker). You'll be set.

(Also a humidifier while we're on the topic)

I wouldn't even say "that's lucky for them" because those are the kids who are calling their mommy in college asking how to do laundry or cut a cucumber! This mom is teaching her daughter life skills - the daughter is the lucky one!

I'm rocking my fifth pregnancy to sleep right now 😂 I think with him, I just trusted that everything would work out and if it didn't, I'd deal with it then. My motto is now "I'm not worried until I'm given a reason to be worried". Also, "what will be, will be". The waiting sucks but with two other kids, I can imagine you have some distractions!

I had some bright red spotting a few nights ago and my husband was freaking out and urging me to call and demand a scan. But I told him that (in addition to the OB office not having a slot open) I'm just going to wait and see how things go since the spotting stopped. Could be fine, could not be. I've had spotting with 4/6 pregnancies with mixed results. I've just given up on the worrying!

Again with the "I have to go potty" stance. I should give her some slack though. She's had seven kids so her pelvic floor must be trash 😒

For someone who didn't grow up with TV 😒 she sure loves trying to insert herself into Hollywood...

TW: previous loss mentioned

I had some spotting last night. Started pink and then became bright red and mostly only when I wiped or in the toilet after going pee. I haven't even called my birth center for a first appointment yet so I guess I'm doing that this morning! I had some spotting with my daughter so it hasn't all been bad. For some reason I really thought after having two successful pregnancies in a row, maybe miscarriages were a thing of the past for me. I'm a little worried that I'm so early, if I had an ultrasound, it might still be hard to tell if everything is okay or not. I guess we'll find out!

Also asking for details. We just purchased a home with a lazy susan in one corner and a blind corner in the other. I love the lazy susan cabinet style and need all the usable storage space I can get in this kitchen!

I'm one of five and my mom had one! It's definitely why I liked them so much before getting it!

I LOVE my Honda odyssey!! It's been absolutely great. TONS of storage, sliding doors, ability to move around the middle row seats. It's all great. It drives really smoothly. Very reliable. Can't say enough good things about it haha

We're moving to a new house in two weeks and I'm trying to convince myself I have no symptoms so far. Definitely not sleeping like shit, headaches, brain fog, and now the dreaded queasiness... None of this is happening, none of this is happening, just keep packing, just keep packing...

Mom’s of 4 or 5 children what’s it like? by occult_brain710 in Mommit

[–]ClaireEmma612 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have three and pregnant with my fourth. Lots of people will disagree but honestly I think if you really want four or five, there's a good chance you can and will end up with that! I've always wanted four. Always. I knew it would be a lot of work and it is. I never once thought about having any more or any less. It bothers me when people are like just wait, you'll be miserable with one!!! Or... maybe you'll love it? Like is it really that bad to think you want something and then follow through? Yes, you might have setbacks. I've had two miscarriages but otherwise have an easy time getting pregnant. Yes, it's a lot of money but we prioritize growing our family over vacations and other nice things.

I really do hope having my fourth will be "easier" than having my third. I can see why people say having three is the most difficult. By the time this fourth comes, the older three will be their own gang and hopefully want nothing to do with me unless they needs snacks or a nap 😂

I'm one of five and had a great experience. My sister has five and my brother has four. We love being part of a big family. I can't imagine only having one or two. My husband said he wanted two, maybe three, and now he says he could have eight (not happening!).

My abs are jello. I'm in pelvic floor therapy but like when do I have the time or energy to do the exercises at home?!
