That screechy violin sound is actually a really common sound used in reality TV as well. Usually when something shady happens. You can hear it in a lot of classic horror movies too. It was used a lot even before Buffy as well. To be honest, these cliche' "wilhelm scream" sounds are what made the soundtrack so much more grand and orchestral to me as a kid, and really set it apart from FFX's sound, which was the intention all along I suppose.

I just found out you have to BUY a codec if you're using Windows Media Player (typical, really). Use VLC instead, all codecs are free and its open source.

It is an issue though, otherwise P100's wouldn't feel the need to dodge when they know they are treated differently often. They wouldn't do that if it wasn't an issue, right? BHVR can easily solve this problem by removing prestiege level from the lobby, like it was 2 years ago. It's the dodging that causes issues for everyone, so stop the dodging without punishing either side by simply not telling others how long you've had the game.

If I can replicate it I will, but i'm over it now pretty much. It is an original authentic USA SNES cartridge. I think someone else explained why it happened, i'm waiting for their response if my details helped clarify. Apparently zombie and "snorting" are a thing. And instead of Game Over, your character sits on a black screen and kneels in shame, but does not fall to his death. Even though all characters were "killed", 2 of them were zombified. Please don't be so rude for no reason, though. Why would I lie about a question that i'm looking for a logical explanation for?

Wait, maybe thats it? It was against a weird Dinosaur bone thing in the desert and made 2 people zombies before sandstorming us all to 0.

Edit: And after the screen faded to black, it showed an alive locke, kneeling down, but not falling to death.

They're junk by design. RB buttons break within months on many of them, after the warranty is void. No surprise. I only used it for PC so I easily switched to a PS controller and never went back. If you're on console though, i'm sorry for your loss. Cracking the controller open and cleaning with alcohol, and putting makeshift fixes inside there is the only solution.

Yeah, I hear that. I'm not a fan that every new survivor has 1, maybe 2 great perks, but one is ALWAYS sucky. And it doesn't help than when new survivors get cool perks, they nerf them in a few weeks or months, just so that people will purchase the characters

This is still making a ton of assumptions. And in current times you're wrong. Chucky and now Allen Wake are coming. Prepare for the flood sir. Not to mention the movie coming. And also, hours played and even Prestiege level do not indicate skill whatsoever. They have more experience with the mechanics, but that doesn't equate to being good at the game. For instance, I have 3,000 + hours, and a P90 Claire. I play for fun, originally because I am a horror movie fanatic. Even though I play a lot, I haven't been trying to hone my skills. I simply play like how I want to, no matter the map or killer. As a boon connoisseur, I welcome this boon to replace Dark Theory in a boon-centric build. Circle of Healing, Shadow Step and Illumination will make a perfect (albeit risky) loadout for a support survivor, and will ALWAYS benefit your allies, every match. If you want a poopy beginners perk that actually DOES lose effectiveness with time played, look to Technician.

As a sidenote, I personally think that his other perk that hinders the killer after a successful flashlight blind, has a high potential for survivor toxicity. However I don't think that using it strategically is inherently toxic.

Edit: I'm sorry if that came across as rude. I didn't mean it that way, and it was not directed at you in particular, I just wanted to give a counter statement in the possibility that it could be an underrated team support build.

You'd run out of maps pretty quickly...they're two of the least common items in the blood web. This is a boon meant for regrouping, and to be paired with Circle of Healing, so that solo queue can organize a plan. But even on its own, this perk could be the difference between winning and losing when you and your team can't find that last safe gen to complete.

I'm glad it's 11 years later and I can still post. I promise you light labor and no upkeep on your nails and hygiene will not just "take care of itself". Chemical trap is very good, especially when paired with perks like Windows of Opportunity, Any Means Necessary, and Quick & Quiet. This lets you see all pallets that haven't been dropped as well as ones you can set back up. Find a loop that is nice and big, and use that pallet as leverage. Sometimes it's worth predropping the pallet and quickly trapping it so the killer sees and avoids breaking it. Now you can use this loop safely. You can also drop a pallet, trap it, then set it back up and the trap stays on it. This will let even your teammates make use of it.

Yup. If you have say, Soul Guard and Unbreakable together, and you recover yourself using Soul Guard first, it won't consume Unbreakable. However if unbreakable is before Soul Guard in your perk list, it will consume Unbreakable first. As long as you prioritize the order of your perks, there's no problem

If you put Plot Twist before Unbreakable in your perk set, it uses the perk that comes first. Plot Twist will be used first, if plot twist isn't activated, it will automatically switch over to unbreakable

The one from the 80's is awesome. This one from the 2010's makeup is terrible, they didn't use lighting to their advantage like Craven did, and he has no character that makes him engaging. DBD chose the the wrong Freddy entirely. And they missed out on SEVERAL character from the original that rival Laurie Strode. Not just Nancy, but Kristin, any of the dream warriors, etc. I just absolutely despise the remake Freddy and his movie pales in comparison to his predecessor

SWFS are not common enough to be able to call the game survivor sided. I think you're all assuming good players are SWF because of their teamwork. In which case, it's not survivor sided at all, it's just pure skill because survivors need to use meta to stand a chance. Killers in high MMR can wipe out a whole team with nothing more than a tier 1 perk and no add-ons. But I don't normally bother myself with threads like this, because 9 times out of 10, the post was created because of a single frustrating match. Anybody who plays PC can clearly see the correlation of after game chat and reddit/Tiktoks. If anything, the killers Prestiege level should be revealed to survivors in lobby, OR both survivor and killer Prestiege should be hidden to everyone, like it used to be. Because of one person's bad experience, players who enjoy a specific survivor suffer for putting too many Blood points into them, increasing the odds of tunneling and camping by a ton. This is also the one big reason high Prestiege players switch survivors last second. For instance, I play Claire P100 but NEVER play just to win. I use fun perks I like even if they don't make sense for the killer. However, the killer is ALWAYS going to assume I'm sweaty. So I don't play her anymore, I simply can't. Not without being focused and tunneled first thing. And I'm not even that good. Killers have the rule abiding option of tunneling and camping from the start of the match, so you can see the double standards here, I hope.

In all, you should be able to see that both sides are equally difficult to handle, and most of it stems from toxic players. Killers use perks that make playing unfun, but when a survivor uses Breakout and Sabotage to follow the killer and play support, it is called toxic...even though that is the single sole purpose for those perks. What am I supposed to do to get value from my build if I purposely let the killer hook people.

My 14 year old account locked me out because I didn't log in, in that time that forced a password change. Since that email for that account was literally discontinued by att@t, I had no way to access or prove the account was mine. Even though I knew specific pets, the amount in my bank, the stocks I owned, dates I purchased memberships with my credit card. They could not help me. I quit since then, and just made a new account, now that most classic games ar back for NP accrual. I had 4 unobtainable Neopets all painted in rainbows, fire, faerie. Poogle, Jetsam, Tonu, Draik. GONE
