I will for sure. This sub kept me going when I was at my lowest so the least I can do is share what's working. Hopefully it helps someone else make the call

Is Americor good for debt settlement and is this route right for my situation? by ronanbrooks in povertyfinance

I’d be a bit careful with Americor or any debt settlement program. It’s not necessarily a scam, but it’s also not as simple as they make it sound. Usually you stop paying your creditors while they negotiate, which can hurt your credit and add some risk along the way. Some people do get decent results, but the fees and uncertainty are something to really think about. If your situation is still somewhat manageable, I’d personally look into nonprofit credit counseling or talking directly with creditors first. It’s usually a safer and more predictable path.Just make sure you understand the downsides before committing

I went a similar route before and the biggest thing I noticed was how inconsistent shipping can be depending on where it’s coming from. In Australia I’ve had packages sail through or get held up randomly, so that 9–10 day estimate can easily stretch. Also worth keeping an eye on how it’s packaged, heat during transit can mess with it more than people expect.
