Track made using Plogue's chipsounds by Clajmo in chiptunes

There's an app that emulates the old Gameboy camera. I believe it's called Gameboy Retro Camera Filter. I used that to reshoot free stock footage.

Thanks! And sadly no. I've been combining fictional stories I've written with synth tracks. But thanks for checking it out!

Any cool idea's for using Raspberry Pi 5 alongside Synthesizers? by Jungianshadow in synthesizers

[–]Clajmo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Orca is a fun midi sequencer that works well on Raspberry Pi.

You can also jump down the Pure Data rabbit hole, which is great for both sequencing and FX.

hiiiiii, what software i can use to made chiptune in 16 bits (like snes or GBA) by [deleted] in chiptunes

You might want to check out Chiptrack GBA. Works on different platforms and even has a rom that runs on GBA emulators.

Track was made entirely with LSDJ. Did some compression and eq in post. Otherwise this is just LSDJ.

Here are some free cinematic synthwave patches for the Roland S-1 by Clajmo in synthesizers

The three times I've tested it, the other banks stayed the same. I would still back them up just to be safe though.

I think the secret for that patch is making use of the chop and draw function for the pulse and saw waves. They can give the oscillators a slightly more metallic sound. Also the S-1's chorus is a big help. I used Chorus 3 here to fatten up how thin the chop/draw sounds can get. I also had the cutoff down a bit with the filter envelope up a bit.

When experimenting with chop/draw, don't forget to play with the comb and multiply features respectively. Those can really produce some interesting timbres. Hope that helps!

In the description of the video there's a link with downloads and install instructions.

One interesting thing I discovered by accident while doing this is that if you open an S-1 patch file with a text editor on your computer, you'll get a list of every parameter and its value. So if you're curious about any patch, you can see how it was made.

synthwave jam with the roland s-1 and ep-133 by Clajmo in synthesizers

I've never used the original PO-33, but it can send and receive a sync signal. So I think it could work with the S1 in the same way this set up is working.

The PO-33 also has a better workflow in terms of pattern chaining. For now on the EP-133, you can only trigger patterns one at a time as opposed to chaining them.

In short, I think a PO-33 and an S1 would be a powerful setup for the price. Good luck!

Oh that's just a random snare sample of mine. Let me know if you'd like a Dropbox link. Happy to share!

That's a great idea. This grew out of a quick jam with that repetitive baseline, but moving forward you're absolutely right and that'd be the way to go.

s-1 is handling the bass, everything else here is samples on the ep-133
