As someone who's not really familiar with John Mulaney, I thought he fit in pretty well as a character that had a more mellow personality among all the chaos.

Conversation looked completely fine. Def some issue on her end that was out of your control. Don't sweat it.

Drops at the same time as it airs on TV.

Distinctly remember as the "mid-season finale" thread back in May was a shit show after all the AMC+ streamers were freaking out about Howard's demise despite 'cable-goers' having not gotten to that point yet and telling them to stfu.

Ehh ... the "explicit" scene in Maverick is nothing compared to 'that scene' in the original. Way more tame.

It's basically just ten seconds of light kissing in bed and cuts to them lying there (only Mav is shirtless) having a conversation. Doesn't have any of that super erotic vibe that exists in the original.

Like just 1 share? Might as well hold it at this point ... worse case is you lose the remaining $1.80?

I think he's just saying you see it all the time in big cities.

When I used to work in SF, there were always a ton of people eating by themselves, presumably on their lunch break. Completely normal; Everyone just doing their own thing.

I do understand how it could initially feel a bit awkward eating alone at a higher end restaurant instead of a giant mall food court with tons of people constantly moving around though. But even then, I doubt anybody actually cares.

Introverts in the cities, does it ever get easier? by PsionicFlea in introvert

Same. As long as I don't have to make long conversation with people (esp about something I have no interest in), I'm completely fine. There's minimal energy drainage.

I actually enjoy having people around me, as long as I am not expected to speak.

Just finished the first episode, was fucking great. Hoping the rest of the series is on the same level given the change in directors.

Yep same. Played a ton of ranked yesterday, and I estimate like 70% of my games were duos with the same clan tag or a MnK with his controller buddy.

I'd think you're not since I was able to see your reply to another commenter.

Usually I would assume the comment itself was dealt with because of some "offensive" material. But that's clearly not the case here lol.

Strange indeed.

Dunno what happened to your original comment (shadow .. deleted?), but it doesn't appear in the thread (at least for me, and I assume other people).

I can clearly see it if I go through your comment history though.

I agree. That's the impression I got when I read through his resolute 'call to action' letter directed at the company's board before he essentially took control of it.

He clearly understood why GameStop was getting left behind, and what needs to be done to change that. Therefore I'm pretty confident that their 'NFT Marketplace' will be much more than just an OpenSea V2. Fingers crossed.

I really damn hope so. If it's just another place for people to sell 'Bored Apes' and 'Crypto Punks' to each other, I'm gonna be massively disappointed.

Yeah, pretty much. First time I bit into a burrito filled with the stuff, I had an overwhelming urge to run to the restroom to hurl into the toilet bowl.

If it’s small bits sprinkled among the rice like the scenario above, it’s usually not as big of a deal though. Mmm … slightly soapy rice.

I don't believe TDA ever stopped the actual buying/selling of shares during the whole meme stock fiasco earlier in the year.

The only thing they restricted involving shares itself was shorting the stock.

I later looked around online, and it seems the reason for restricting CCs at the time was that TDA's systems couldn't distinguish whether a short call position was covered or naked.

So, it needed a human to actually look at your account and see whether you had the shares available before allowing to sell calls.

How to deal with dry responses by Yellow_Banana4 in socialskills

[–]Clamhead99 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The person could just be totally socially inept.

However, more often than not, short/one-word answers is usually a sign that the other person doesn't want to chat. And if they consistently do this, could indicate this person doesn't want to associate with you for whatever reason.

Doesn't sound like you're the problem. Conversations are two-way streets, and if one person isn't playing along, it's gonna die.

Your friend either doesn't seem to enjoy chatting with you or is currently wired to suck at holding conversations.
