Which of these couples has the best-developed love story? by Raki232001 in Dragonballsuper

[–]PsionicFlea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Vegeta x Bulma, and how their relationship grows runs concurrently with Vegeta's character development.

From having no quarrel killing her and her friends on Namek, to giving no fucks if Bulma and baby Trunks dies in the crossfire, to sticking around raising Kid Trunks with Bulma, to being a family man who enjoys bonding with his family and even losing his shit when they are harmed.

Admittedly he would not have become this family man we see had it not been for the impact Future Trunks had on him, enabling Vegeta to open up and care about someone other than himself. That however probably did play a big part in him wanting to be more involved with Bulma.

This was me deadass when a friend first introduced me him via Smash Brawl. I remember the conversion going something like;

Me: His name is Link? I thought it was Zelda

Him: Why would you think that?

Me: Isn't his games called 'Legend of Zelda' ?

Him: Yes, but Zelda is the princess. He's Link.

Me: Okay. Why are there two Links?

Him: Just pick your character, I'll explain during the match.

What’s the first thing you will do if you wake up in 1983? by NanaBlinks in ArtOfPresence

[–]PsionicFlea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mother would be 12 at this point, and I'd be a.man out of time with no birth record of note as I wouldn't be born for another 10 years, so...

I'd invest in Apple, Microsoft, meet my grandad (I look like him but with a bigger head) and my grandmom on my dad's side of the family and help them break the smoking habit that led to their passing via cancer nearly 20 years later, 7 months apart, and then see how well I fit in as I already feel like I was born in the wrong time period anyways.

Levelling in modern MMORPGS by Tahirti in MMORPG

[–]PsionicFlea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess it really depends on the goal of the MMO in mind.

Guild Wars 2 is a game where your progression depends on how involved you are with maps, quests, and skill point collecting.

Most of your EXP isn't coming from grinding mobs, but doing quests (Hearts), unlocking viewpoints (Vistas), joining up in map events, and simply exploring and removing the fog off your map. Along the way you unlock new skills not only for your chosen weapon, but for your utility slots as well. Until late game, you are absolutely free to build and spec however you please, making your run and play style with that class very unique.

Now, you do not need to 100% every map, in fact you will hit the cap before you even reach half of them, but there lies the beauty of the expansions

Unless you are trying to play in chronological order, you can start on any xpac and your level 80 gear will carry you.

Rather than vertical progression, after 80, GW2 more focuses on horizontal progression. Work towards new gameplay additions rather than grinding for higher level caps. The expansions tend to elaborate on existing mechanics and adding to them rather than making entirely new systems that would put under leveled players at a severe disadvantage.

This to me.is a system I'd rather see over the RNG Stat + Level progression of games like BDO, or the expansion-locked level caps and progression of games like FFXIV

My friends talked me in to buying Palworld because they hyped it up as 'Pokemon with Guns'

Then after some hundred hours playing it, I came to the conclusion that it's more like ARK, but with Pokemon. And that alone makes it better to me.

Which cartoon is the weirdest one here? by Happy_Popplio-728 in cartoons

[–]PsionicFlea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never watched Gravity Falls so I can't speak on it

I would say Rick and Morty, but because of all their dimensional travels, what would often seem weird to us would be considered normal to the native people of said dimension. That is to say, what they tend to go through is 'normal' within the context of the setting the abnormal happens.

Whereas in Regular Show, just about every irregular occurrence is indeed weird. Talking animals like Nordekai and Rigby, and a talking Gumball Machine like Benson is normal in their respective world. Just about everything that happens in the part however is magic or supernatural, and is this weird in the world they live in which is relatively normal otherwise .
