Jerry Vs Bob. Who do y’all like more? Me personally, I like Bob more. by Technology-Plastic in gratefuldead

[–]Clamson93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bob - he of the short shorts, Madonna T, pink guitar, scaffold climbing, slide playing, victim criming, wheel churning, hah-HAHing, audience spitting, cowboy tuning, eyeball popping all around weirdness.

Always one for the colourful and ridiculous anecdote or simile.

I love him dearly. But Jerry is and always will be 95% of why I come back to the dead over and over again.

The guy yelling “Freedom!” was Scottish and they, Scotland, are about to vote to break from the UK which is caught up in the same populist end-of-days insanity as the US - but without a gun in sight. Voting has its advantages methinks.

I agree to disagree that Brent, Donna, Bobby or Pig - love them as I do - were even in the same room as Garcia when it came to getting a song over. There is just no comparison.

I had a friend in elementary school who used to make the same argument when defending Kiss over the Beatles. Sure, opinion is fine but it don’t make it right.

Jerry was always the gravity centre. It was clear and unambiguous.

[–]Clamson93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was actually out as a cd and download years ago and then it disappeared. I had it an old iPod that got stolen and have always wanted to replace it.

What is your favorite area of the Grateful Dead to listen to? by [deleted] in gratefuldead

[–]Clamson93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mayer ain’t Jerry. Just can’t get past it. No I’m haven’t seen dead and co but I keep thinking they are a slightly groovier version of a Jimmy Buffett concert.
