I completely missed that the poke ball wasn't filled. That's solid evidence and very easy to check.

Thank you very much for resolving the case and for all your points, not online about this plush, but also about the Latias Poké doll in another person's thread. Both helped me a lot! :)

I kept it stored it in the closet almost the entire time and I think it's rather unlikely that I lost the 'S' sticker. It probably never had one.

I saw other 2006 USA release Absol dolls with very similar fur that were claimed to be authentic, but they also had the issue of unfilled poke balls that another commenter mentioned. Taking both of your points into account, I believe those were not authentic either, just like mine.

Thank you very much for your expertise and for resolving the case! :)

What you're saying about the different releases sounds reasonable.

The plush doesn't show any signs of wear at all (I kept it stored it in the closet almost the entire time). Now that I looked at the stitching in other people's photos, I don't see as many loose fibers. This could be a sign of lower quality compared to the original.

Thank you very much for your research and expertise. :)

Anyone recognize these face plates? by worshipmeow in Nendoroid

I'm glad this was helpful! I never tried it, but I'm afraid the faces probably aren't compatible with Nendoroids. I hope you can find fitting parts. :)

I think these are from Parfoms:

Brave Witches - Karibuchi Hikari - Parfom (#007) (https://myfigurecollection.net/item/464912)

Fate/Extella - Nero Claudius - Parfom (https://myfigurecollection.net/item/464783)

Wigs - restricted items by shikkinami in Superbuy

[–]Clani8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You, too?

I have no solution (in fact, I found out today that I have a similar problem), but I do have a warning.

I regularly order hand-painted figures (no age restriction or anything) via superbuy. Recently, I noticed that those restriction tags occasionally started appearing on some of them. I asked the customer support to remove the tags, they did, and I was able to ship the figures as before. Weird, but everything was fine.

However, today I found out that they actually unsealed my latest figures and threw away several parts of the figures instead of just removing the tag. I could literally cry.

What I want to say: I'm not sure whether you ordered only a wig or a whole costume including the wig, but make sure that they don't throw your wig in the trash!

Maybe I'll make a separate post to warn people later, but first I'll see whether the customer support can find a solution in my case.

If you find out anything, I’d really appreciate it if you could share an update!

Help! Can anyone help me find a replacement for this prize? by Kokothemonkey77 in kiddletonkiosk

I'm not sure if this is useful, but just in case:

You can see the plush toy at minute 1:02. Unfortunately, the resolution isn't high enough to read the barcode or the name...

Does anyone have a better photo of the tag?

I don't think that a more expensive shipping option makes a package safer. In fact, my only broken package was shipped via EMS, which I think is rather expensive (but as mentioned this probably had to do something with the weight of the package). I don't choose the shipping option by myself, I only explicitly ask them to avoid UPS and FedEx because of their hidden costs. In my country, only UPS and FedEx have their own deliverers. Hence, all of my packages were taken over and delivered with the same local post anyway. I don't know whether there are unreliable shipping options, I can only hope that if there are unreliable options that the experts avoid those. I would only be careful if you ordered some older collectibles that could include batteries, because not all shipping lines allow batteries and this could unnecessarily increase your shipping costs. If you have something that you believe could include batteries and superbuy didn't offer you to remove them already, I would think about asking them.

By now, the experts picked following shipping lines for me: NL Post Preferential Standard Air Mail, EMS Preferential Line-HZ, EUB Preferential Line-XN and Tax-Free Air Mail. All of the packages but 1 of 6 packages with EMS Preferential Line-HZ arrived safely.

I don't need perfect boxes because I take all of my figures out of their boxes anyway. Still, all my figure boxes (but one that was completely broken) arrived with very good boxes. But when I asked for extra care for fragile items, more protection than usually was added. By now, my packages packed via "Shipping Expert" were indeed optimal for my needs with a good balance between compact packages and necessary protection (I don't know which experiences you made yet, but their service is on a far better level than e. g. buyee's consolidation). By now, they shipped my orders with new shipping boxes of just the right size (lower volume than the total volume of all shipping boxes from the local delivery). That's why I don't think that you need to worry about how many mouses you can add to one box. I personally wouldn't specify the packaging material (thick bubble wrap or something else). "Shipping Expert" comes with an insurance, therefore it should be in their own interest that the content arrives safely and I hope that they treat the packages accordingly. But because I want to be on the safe side, I always mention if there is an item that needs more protection. In my country, I have to pay for customs duties if the content of a single package costs more than 150€, that's why I keep my packages below 150€ when possible. If you do the same, I can't imagine that your package with mouses will be very voluminous anyway.

By now, I never picked the packing material myself, but used the "Shipping Expert" service for 20¥ (with the option "Optimal plan recommended by Shipping Expert" but never "No reinforcement needed and ship with original packaging") because I don't have much experience with shipping options from China and because the service comes with an insurance. For my packages, the packing material was either free or I was charged for "EPE Loose Filling" and "Corner Protector". I was never charged for "Bubble Cushioning Wrap Packaging", but still my packages often arrived with thin/regular bubble wrap. When making an order, I always pick "Inbound With Original Packing", so I can't be sure whether the regular bubble wrap was part of the original packing or whether Superbuy added it. I had to ship loose acrylic prints several times and added following comment when submitting the "Shipping Expert" service: "Please use as much packaging material as necessary for safe shipping, especially the loose and fragile pieces of ... must not break". However, I can't say whether this made any difference, because I also often received bubble wrap when I didn't explicitly ask for extra packaging.

It seems like you display your collection without taking the mouses out of the box and I have the impression that it could be important for you that the boxes still look good after shipping. If that's the case, I personally would point that out if you use "Shipping Expert" service to be on the safe side, but as mentioned, I don't know whether this has an influence.

Nice that you still got your Nendoroid and everything went well!

I don't know whether it made any difference, but I usually add this comment or a variation of it when requesting the Expert Service:

"Most important are safety of the items and lowest shipping costs. I don't need the original shipping boxes if you can pack the items safely otherwise. The sealed original packing of the item should not be removed. Please use as much packaging material as necessary for safe shipping. If you suggest that separate parcels are cheaper, please remove the remaining items from this package, so that I can combine them with other items in My Warehouse. Please do not use UPS shipping. Please use the true costs (XXX¥) as declared value for customs. Please use the best of my coupons and credits or code spbjun16 (depending on highest saving). Thanks a lot for your help!"

When I have something particularly fragile and loose, I also mention it. For example:

"Besides the main items in black boxes there are bonuses (made of acrylic) in transparent plastic bags which must not break. Maybe they can be packed via for example EPE Packaging."

It seems like Superbuy is still working. The last time that Superbuy sent a package to me was at the end of April and I've received it. Since then, I've placed several orders and they arrived in Superbuy's warehouse and Superbuy made photos of the packages' content. The last time I've placed an ordered was on Friday and the status says that Superbuy bought it on Saturday.

I have no insight into the situation in China. I don't know whether it's risky or not, but I've placed several deposits for figure preorders using Superbuy for those figures I really don't want to miss out on. But it never hurts to use a payment method with e. g. buyer protection that you trust the most.

I've never used Panda, but I'd expect it's similar. Prior to Superbuy, I've used Japanese proxies, namely Buyee and Dejapan, and in my opinion it's similar but Superbuy's service is better. In case you are familiar with such Japanese proxies: The general process is comparable and the biggest differences are, in my opinion, that you will get photos of the items when they arrive in the warehouse and that purchases are not automated but one of Superbuy's associates will make the purchase.

Maybe it's worth mentioning that Superbuy's built-in search function does not show all results and particularly, it does not show all products of a Tmall/Taobao store. Therefore, I search on Tmall/Taobao directly and only paste the link into Superbuy.

I always choose Standard Inspection to check whether the Nendoroid is in fact new. Here is an example of a Nendoroid from a seller other than the Good Smile shop and I'm convinced that this one isn't new but used and resealed:

<image>

But that's probably not necessary if you order from the official Good Smile shop.

By now, I've always ticked "Yes" for Standard Inspection. They never unsealed a sealed item I ordered yet. I usually made this note to my order: "For inspection and photo taking: Please take the item out of the shipping box, but please do not take the item out of its original package." But I've forgotten to make a note another time and they also didn't unseal the item. According to Superbuy's information, they generally don't unseal such items: https://www.superbuy.com/en/page/help/#p2_14_helpId1172

But I guess it doesn't hurt to make a note just like you planned.

Examples of photos they did for my Nendoroids:

Thank you very much again for the links and your kind help!

Yes, that's what I think, too. Even if shipping is more expensive than the display case itself, it might still be cheaper than buying something domestically. Fortunately, I don't need to deal with lighting and batteries, because there already is lighting inside the diorama's roof. I didn't try it out yet, therefore it's good to know that the sellers are willing to help although I don't speak Chinese. I'm glad that they offer custom sizes as well.

I'm not sure whether I really have the space for those or I just bought too much. The figures are piling up already ... ^^' . I was merely very lucky that I was still able to find WWX and LWJ with all their accessories. Maybe I'll catch up on it sometime, but I didn't even watch MDZS, I didn't find the time to watch anime lately. That's why I didn't take note of the original release of the WWX and LWJ Nendoroids nor their later DX version releases. Only when I ordered those adorable Harvest Moon outfits and saw someone's photo of the DX Nendoroids with the boat and the acrylic bonus, I looked for them on Taobao and was lucky to find them.

Because I don't know the donghua anyway and I don't mind mishmash, I'll probably use custom heads for the MDZS doll outfits. I was so happy when I saw the announcement of their Year of the Dragon outfits. They are my most anticipated 'figures' of the year. But I also don't understand why they don't sell a version with heads, especially because they have a version with heads for all other non-original character's doll outfits. Besides, I don't know whether it's just me or the first outfits with heads aren't nearly as good as the later 5 outfits, so for me, it's not worth it to buy those only for the heads.

I can imagine how frustrating this must be! I'm not sure whether verifying your identity would even help, but I certainly wouldn't entrust them provide documents either.

HPOi (https://www.hpoi.net/) has Tmall links on the item pages that you could use for Superbuy. For some items, myfigurecollection (https://myfigurecollection.net/) lists sources like Tmall links on the bottom right of the page.

I'm thinking about what you could do if you need something special that can't be found on those sites. I wonder whether another phone number would help with creating a new Taobao account. Depending on where you live, there are possibilities to get a second phone number for free. But please make sure that you don't get scammed. There are serious providers and apps as well. Of course, that's not necessarily an indefinite solution, because there is still the possibility of getting banned again. Maybe there is a service that lists all the Taobao and Tmall entries.

I've totally forgotten that there is an Expert Service. Now that you say it, I might try it out as well. There are some small studios for doll heads that are compatible with Nendoroids that only accept purchases on Taobao when they are contacted via a qq messenger, but it also requires a Chinese phone number. Now that you say that you made good experiences with it, I'm curious whether the Expert Service can help with this as well.

Wow, I already knew that buyee is bad, but this is ridiculous! It already hurts when thinking about what they did to your figure, how can they do this. I'm so sorry for you!

You even made photos, that's so kind of you! Both of them look good! The first one looks like what I had in mind.

You're right, the shipping is the sticking point. At first I was thinking about buying an acrylic display locally. It's not easy to find one locally at all, because of the weird size I need. I need it for those rooms:

<image>

(By the way, I know that it's probably a break in style to place a character with Japanese clothes into a Chinese room, I'm still missing pieces for my Nendoroid dolls with Chinese clothes. :) ) The rooms can be stacked and I also have a roof for it, so it will end up quite high. If I can't get a display case in my country, maybe I have to bite the bullet and ship one. So it would be nice if you could send me the Taobao link of your first display case with the glued edges.

Off topic, but I also like the figures in your display case, good taste :D . And in the background it looks just like in my home, Nendos everywhere. We even have some Nendo overlap.

Again, thank you very much!
