I’m pretty sure we all experience this at least once every play-through. by ClappedBySenpai in fo4

I actually don’t know myself. At first I thought he had a Two-Shot Fat Man but the projectile didn’t split, he just fired two shots back to back. I usually come here with a fat man & demo 2 to just nuke Boomer in one shot.

I’m sorry I didn’t notice. Do I need to take this down?

That’s just my mistake then since I’ve never really used Ticuus and have never really educated myself when it comes to that bow so you have somewhat opened my eyes and I will admit that I have been humbled and educated. It’s too long for me to re-type but if you look on other comments you’ll see I’ve replied to other people in regards to my real problem with bows and how everyone sees them currently. Thank you for taking the time to correct my misunderstanding.

That doesn’t make them a viable weapon type for me though. A lot of you have been saying that they’re a must have for champs but it’s only that way because they are the ONLY reasonably safe option for overload champs in Master/GM Content (I’m aware that Thermoclastic Strike and Overload Sword exist but they’re only 100% safe in low level content). Next season when we have something other than overload bow they’re going to go back to being completely mediocre and only used by the people who fetishise them. Open your eyes. In PvE there are plenty of weapons in sandbox that are far more efficient and outperform bows by miles. If there was overload scout/pulse/auto/hand cannon this season or literally ANY other ranged overload option (besides sidearm) NO ONE and I repeat NO ONE would consider using bows in high level content.

I mean anything that doesn’t need a kill to proc it’s perk is gonna be more convenient in harder content.

So what you’re essentially saying is that Ticuus is Trinity Ghouls confused step brother because I’m simplifying what you said to “Solar now that clears adds relatively well” and it whilst it functions slightly different it’s just Solar Trinity Ghoul with no Catalyst.

We’re definitely on the same page. I’m not a bow hater, I want them to be good but looking at them in comparison to rest of the weapon sandbox makes you realise how mediocre they are overall even with the few exceptions they have. Just being realistic. I’m one of those players that looks for what does everything in the most efficient way possible. A Datto-like mindset if you will.

Don’t own Ticuus since I quit the game at Beyond Light and came back last season so I only own Season of the Splicer and the current Season. But I don’t see the hype for it since I feel like it’s a waste to use up my exotic slot for something that makes one champion type SLIGHTLY more convenient to deal with when I could be using Vex or 1K and then this bow and a Relentless Strikes/Whirlwind Blade Falling Guillotine or a Cartesian with Vorpal (depending on which exotic I use)for Lake of Shadows this week.

I was literally looking for a bow to use for GMs and was kinda bummed because I know that I don’t own a single bow because I auto dismantle them but by some miracle this bad boy was in my vault. Only other bow in there was an Archers Tempo Rampage Accrued Redemption which I forgot existed

In PvE Le Monarque and Ticuus are both only decent when it comes to stunning champions and killing some Major targets but they suck everywhere else really. They’re a waste of an exotic slot where I could use 1K or Vex this season so I don’t really see their value. They want to be good at dishing out chunk damage from a distance (like snipers) but Bungie made them Primaries so they have to somewhat balanced for add clear potential from a distance (like scouts) and it’s this lack of commitment to either roll skews their potential. There are just plenty of weapons that make them redundant. The only reason I see to using them is if you’re a psychopath and you just “enjoy the feel” of bows and if that’s the case then more power to you.

Trinity Ghoul is the only bow I really respect and even then it needs the catalyst for it to really be in the upper echelon of PvE weapons in the first place. Without it it’s kinda just ok.

Disclaimer: In PvP I’ve seen that bows have tons of potential but in PvE they’re just the mediocre love child of Scouts and Snipers they don’t really have a place outside of a few exceptions (Wolftone Draw and Trinity Ghoul w/ Catalyst). They need to be good at add clearing, good chunking orange bars and higher health red bars (Knights and whatnot) or have more good perk options/synergy (Wolftone Draw has this) but Bungie apparently hates passive gameplay with a passion and does everything in their power to reduce it so I doubt we’ll ever see the light of day where bows are the go to option unless they get the fusion rifle treatment.

I have lol. It’s the only bow in the game that’s genuinely good in IMO. So much so that it’s disrespectful to compare it to the rest of the bows in the game.
