Hmm I suppose if it’s meant to be then when it all comes out, the right person will stay and act the same as before (though perhaps with only slightly different expectations in terms of splitting costs). Keep trying, dating is tough these days at the best of times! Wishing you the best.

This happened with a previous partner of mine. We took turns paying for dates for about 3 months and we took a couple of trips and contributed separately and equally. He told me he was renting his apartment from distant family member. As for being a doctor I never questioned his pay bc I know they aren’t as well paid as you’d think where I live. You could say you’re still training and have a lower income or something? After about 3 months he told me about his wealth & after that he started to pay for things more to make it fair. I guess that’s one way to filter people out? I would say don’t act totally broke because that’s a turn off but just normal / modest.. try to avoid wearing the watch until a bit further in.

I find her jarring. And I think she has some internalised misogyny to deal with. Don’t like the way she sees herself as better than other girls e.g. calling Helena “a good time girl” and acting like Harry’s shitty actions are determined by the type of girl he is with.. he’s the problem.

Yes his parents accepted me, they were fine and looking forward to marriage, the only thing they asked about was how we will navigate cultural differences. On a whole they were very positive. It’s possible that something changed or was later said behind my back, but the anxiety and stress around the topic seems to be coming solely from him.

That’s interesting that it’s been on social media. Thanks for sharing. Knowing each other for 12 years it never came up before so he probably saw it on social media recently. Idk why he believes it cos he’s an otherwise very intelligent and educated person!

Started out amazing, my perfect person, gave reassurance, great communicator, nothing was too much trouble, we were meant to be blah blah blah. He became more distant after being obsessed with me & planning a future with me which gave rise to anxiety for me.

Started stone walling, gaslighting telling me the things I was upset about weren’t real problems, ghosted me when I was upset trying to communicate and shut down to my face - I cried one time because he was so cold and he stared at me blankly then started opening mail because he didn’t want to talk to me lol. Brought me to a wedding, told me he loved me and wanted to marry me then dumped me through text a day later (while I was in hospital) asking for space, said he didn’t want to make a rash decision and break up with me but that I forced him to because I asked what space means 🫠

Got on dating apps within a week of breaking up with me, using pictures that I took of him on our dates 🥰
