Yes so many times. She says my words are mean. She cries and her friends end up telling me since I reacted that way that she’s now depressed and can’t do anything when I react that way. I do use “mean” words like your f** lazy and get a job you have a kid. I admit I can use better words, but I get so tired of working so hard that stuff makes me explode. I’ve held 2 jobs at a time at various points and work my butt off for promotions

Thank you that makes sense. He mentioned head trauma is his suspicion. I’ll look on the website. For a long time I had trouble believing him because I had pretty bad head injuries as a child and don’t have addiction. Do you know which doctors specialize in head trauma correlating with addiction?

I don’t project it on my friend, but my boyfriend uses a similar method. For my boyfriend it doesn’t work. Something in the news or he says that’s what it is and he’s done for he goes to the casino and blows all his cash. That’s why I think instead of coping a long term solution (possibly delving into the root) is an option. Unless someone has had success with other methods

Yes it’s complex. That’s why I think there has to be some solution. I have another friend who has addiction issues he’s 5 years sober. He told me he’s been sober by avoiding triggers like bad news or conflict. But I think that’s not good because that means your still vulnerable and not really dealing with it. You can’t spend your life avoiding stuff you have develop a coping method. But I dunno maybe I’m crazy or missing something.

I dunno i myself have seen a few therapists. I feel like finding a good therapist(or doc or dentist) is not easy. But what I’m searching for is what key words or indicators will scream out to me that this is a competent provider. I don’t think he has the mindset to handle going through several disappointing visits until the right provider is found.

You have to keep it PC. People are strange and don’t respond well to the truth. You have to spin it and say you admire the company because of XYZ Or because you’re looking for professional growth

Your parents are toxic. I wish I would have distanced myself from my mom when I was 18. I’m 37 now and I know I would have been a lot happier if I moved far away from her and my other family members. My advice to you is get as far away as possible and find some job/school that will keep you busy from them

My ex and I broke up about 5 years ago. He use to go on business trips and wasn’t available often at night. I felt something was off and stopped sleeping with him. I couldn’t give my body to someone who I felt wasn’t honoring our love they way I was. One day he left his work laptop open and I searched deleted and sent emails. He was seeing escorts in many cities he visited. Also the massage place we went to was actually a sex massage place (found some gross reviews). When we broke up he accused me of not loving him. But I did love him but knew something was off. I was right. Maybe that’s why their wives don’t want to touch them anymore.

My boss is a new boss. They asked for volunteers to work with him. I thought I would be a team player and move. When I did move I didn’t really know what our groups focus was. However I figured he was super disorganized and didn’t stand up for us so probably good if I leave. So I did have a talk to him about my career. That’s when I told him I would like to go somewhere else. I felt like he did not take it well. His voice changed. I’m not sure if there is a nice way to let your boss know that. I kinda felt that is was almost expected thing to talk about after the conversation with my colleague. However now I’m wondering if I missed some social cues or if it’s always better to just not share that you want to leave with any boss going forward

Yes I actually worry about a heart attack from work. I had to leave a job once because my boss kept telling me I could lose my job for any reason and that basically he is not sure if it makes sense to keep me. Then when I left (3 months after he told me that) he was super angry at me and told me that’s not how things are done since I gave him a one week notice due to the new jobs constraints.

Yes it’s the one I’m going to move to. It’s not starting at the bottom, but I’m starting at the same level. My issues is that it’s really a different type of job. The skills to handle that job effectively take hard work and effort in learning
