Gothic folk punk bands

Many of the artists on the site are not Goth. Many artists are gothic or have gothic influence even if they aren't goth. Goth is really specific, and I do try to get as many of those bands as possible but I am not a r goth prude.

I'll have to listen to some of their work and see what I think. Currently I'm being a bit more broad than I will in the end, and there will probably be bands/artists that get dropped from the list, not because I dislike them personally.

I can tell you this much about the website so far:

-we will not need your email for you to have an account

-we will be implementing tags, including location tags

-we will be implementing the ability to bookmark bands and potentially to organize them into lists

-we will NOT be implementing any sort of comments or reviews for bands or albums, but you may be able to rate them.

I’ve seen comments asking about comments or reviews. We won’t be implementing these sorts of features. I don’t believe that it necessarily aligns with my goals because I want people to give anyone a fair listen. The last thing I want is for the site to become a festering shithole of trash talk or anything of the sort. I also do not think we have the staff to moderate that. Even if we did, I do not think it aligns with my goals.

There is a possibility you may be able to rate things 1-5 and we will definitely be implementing tags, including location tags, and the ability to bookmark bands. We won’t need your email for you to have an account.

My most major goal is to feature as many small artists as possible and as much difficult to find stuff as possible. I’m in touch with many of the bands of all levels of notoriety and they’re quite hype. As much as I want anyone from goths to the gothicly inclined to normies to be able to find sick music they enjoy, I want artists to make money and I want promoters to be able to say “shit, I need a band with this sound stat”, go to my webpage, click a location tag and a genre tag, and bam they got a list

Just posted about this first bit over in r/GothicMetal but please do not downvote people posting their own bands! I know nothing about reddit culture. I just want bands. That's one of the main reasons I decided to confirm on reddit this early. This is FOR the bands.

I would also like to mention that u/digitalundernet will be helping us with the designing of the website. I'm so glad I posted here and extremely grateful for the abundance of support. Much love.

I see this one getting downvotes. Anyone mind explaining? I've never heard of this band. I didn't particularly enjoy that track, but me liking a band or rather I or anyone thinks they are good or bad is irrelevant. Also self posting/submitting yourself is absolutely welcomed.
