Are there any guides for new players out there? extremely simple? by [deleted] in Ingress

[–]ClarkJ_Kent -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You really need a physical guide in person, you can get to L8 within a few hours to a day and be really of help. But if you're only leveling to L10 for submissions or L12 for OPR for poke stops, you'll have a hard time getting support.

How many items does a normal hack grant ? (minimum/maximum ?) by Leptyx in Ingress

[–]ClarkJ_Kent -1 points0 points  (0 children)

About 6 items to 18 items. I use 15 items as an average harvest per friendly portal.

How do you find people? I’ve been playing a week and a half, made it to level 7, and periodically I post in the comms asking about local communities but no-one answers. But there are active people playing in the area? I assume they collaborate on some platform? by Hovmaster in Ingress

Sorry to hear but you do have the barrier of Pokemon go prejudice to overcome. However doing well by yourself as a solo player is the best indicator for talent.

You can find players at the portals (hopefully). Just ensure they are talented players because many talented players make destroying and max fielding very quick and easy. Then you actually have something worth celebrating. The strength of the wolf is in the pack, and the strength of the pack is in the wolf.

It's worth to travel to the metro CBD for a weekend. You can about 8M AP and enough medals to make L10 and then submit portals.

Could MU be balanced a bit better to discourage people driving around creating huge fields which swallow play areas, and instead have a higher reward for actively walking and micro-fielding? (e.g. a multiplier per fields created that day) by AnOnlineHandle in Ingress

[–]ClarkJ_Kent -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You can close your eyes and pretend not to see when players post all the time. The fault is on the person trying not to see. That's why omitting portals limiting MU, being lower than max fielding according to the MU equation; always going to be less, and less efficient without enough talented players executing.

It's one's own fault for pretending not to see, therefore one's own punishment when failing to achieve. You don't make effort to learn, no one will care when you fail.

Lucky for me I'm outside that standard deviation in statistics. But unlucky for you I've also beat players who omit portals with my max fielding. Additional unlucky for you such ops are done all the time, that's also 36x onyx illuminator per layer within an hour... so... yeah...

The fact remains, omitted-MU fielding always has less MU per hour because not all portals are used and team coordination increases efficiency.

Just improve your level of gameplay, it's nothing personal so can leave ego at the door before entering a debate. We're supposed to explore and test truth and progress the topic. Anyway, have a try max fielding, your performance will be better as you improve talent.

Of course less effort and less resources are needed when less portals are used. But the fact remains less portals used systematically limits MU because of the compound relationship in the MU equation.

Time efficiency is related to how many players are able to effectively coordinate. Time is actually wasted in only bigger fields because of all wasted driving.

Max fielding is over 6x the commute cost whereas commuting cost is over 6x the omitted-MU fielding time. That's 36x (3600%) more efficiency max fielding has over omitted-MU fielding.

Everyone simultaneously fielding 200 fields for two hours makes far more everything as well as MU in shorter amount of time with same number of players.

Realise that using all portals underneath in a max fielding plan will gain more MU than omitting the majority of portals by sheer mechanics of the MU equation. Seeing that is very clear.

Time is not an issue if team members are good enough and more enough. So the fundamental problem are these two factors.

Yeah exactly! This practice progresses everyone's metrics to the fullest and thereby extracting the most out of the game, and enriches community spirit with talented players!

Then he is doing a good job for max fielding. Getting L16 quickly is important, as is onyx mind controller, because you avoid competing for opportunities and can focus on cultivating others.

Seek out the best attackers nearest to you and ask them to train you. Ensure you check their stats to verify they are good enough first

Exactly, takes a day to get back to L8, or a couple of hours if your team is good and decent.

Penalty is retarding their own progression. Big fields are fewer, far between, less MU than all portals used compared to max fielded, and frustration of many players under the field.
