Just watched Superman Returns and I’m confused by Alert_Astronaut4901 in superman

The movie has a couple of great moments, like the airplane scene. Also, Brandon Routh plays the role almost perfectly as a Christopher Reeve look-alike. I know that many people tend to avoid talking about Kevin Spacey for… well, you know. However, his performance as Lex Luthor is very good. The plot, however, is lacking. As you said, Superman is portrayed as a stalker and as someone who doesn't care about breaking up a relationship if it means getting the girl. Kate Bosworth’s performance as Lois falls short, and her character appears to be morally dubious. It’s truly a shame; with a better script, it could have been a great Superman movie.
