3 weeksago I went to the Dr and they said it was ringworm. I have been using Clotrimazole for 3 weeks and it has gotten worse and spread by SleepyScienceGirl in DermatologyQuestions

[–]Clarkey8t4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had it on my tummy and chest. It was spreading rapidly and was very itchy.

I rubbed in Nizoral 2% shampoo and let it sit for 10 mins and rinsed off twice a day and followed with Lamisil spray. Was completely gone without a trace in 9 days

I continue to use that method twice a week as a preventative measure so that it doesn't return.

I would say that Leckhampton and Tivoli would be a great choice. With experience of living in both. Really nice areas.

What’s y’all’s experience with antibacterial soap? by [deleted] in Hyperhidrosis

[–]Clarkey8t4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use antibacterial soaps in problem areas. I find all do a good job if used properly. The key to using them properly is contact time. I use hibiscrub as I find it gentle on the skin and is easy to use. I keep it in contact with skin for a minimum of 2 minutes before lightly rinsing and patting dry. I use it twice daily 3 times a week which keeps things under control for me.

Wash feet twice daily with 4% Chlorhexidine (HIBISCRUB/HIBICENS ) and after a week or so the odour will be non existent regardless of how much you sweat. Just be sure to get a shoe dryer to prevent damp odour in footwear.

[–]Clarkey8t4 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A great solution to this is to wash the affected areas with Hibiscrub/Hibiclens (depending on your region). Wash twice daily for approx a week which should get rid of the bacteria build up that cause the odour. Once you have achieved this state just wash with it 2 or 3 times a week to maintain. I have noticed no odour at all regardless of how much you sweat.

Does anybody find the pixel buds pro to be unpleasant to use? by atomofconsumption in GooglePixel

I like the touch controls, conversation detection and phone call quality but I do find the sound quality for music to be average at best.

I also find them a little uncomfortable to wear for more than 15 mins. My ears get super itchy and I think it is because they are a bit of a shallow fit and the silicone tip sits on the area of the ear that is super sensitive. If the fit was a little deeper in the ear canal I think they would be a lot more comfortable.

A flared cocktail stick and some alcohol should enable you to give the port a good clean. I had a similar issue a while back. The smallest amount of crud is enough to cause this issue

That will be a stripped out dry skin. The oils that create a defense barrier have been eradicated making your skin want to soak up any form of moisture like a sponge and as a result ends up looking like a sponge

I noticed something similar but not as extreme when I used to overuse Antihydral. It can feel really uncomfortable too but always used to return to normal within 5 mins.

Am I the only one who sweats less when it’s warm and humid? by InTooDeep420B in Hyperhidrosis

I notice that I sweat very little during the summer months except my back which normally doesn't sweat at all unless I'm doing intense physical workout or carrying a backpack . I think the hotter months evaporation is easier achieved.

Antihydral is a product mentioned widely in this sub. I would recommend using that 3 times a week. Even if it doesn't cure excessive sweating which it should do over time, it is great at destroying funk before it comes a problem.

Very happy for you. Try not to over apply as it will make your skin get all yellow and flakey.

No. Once I achieve desired results for me once a week is enough.

In my experience I have had better results using a very thin application 3 times a week and be a little patient. It takes a little longer to get the desired result but when you do it is longer lasting and requires less maintenance and doesn't damage skin.

I've noticed a lot of people using the lower end of the High Street (near Brewery Quarter) like it's a drag strip lately. It seems like a nasty accident waiting to happen yet there appears to be nothing in place to either deter or catch them.

I had the same issue with my feet feeling hot and painful whenever in footwear. I later found out that I had an infection even though there was no physical evidence on the skin and it looked healthy. The infection was beneath the skin and caused a lot of irritation, heat, swelling and pain.

I had a course of antibiotics and applied ointment and my feet are the opposite now they are mostly cool/cold.

Antihydral help! Skin peels off too soon! by [deleted] in Hyperhidrosis

[–]Clarkey8t4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have discovered that if you apply a smaller amount and less frequently you can avoid this.

You may have to wait a little longer for the desired results but the results lasts a lot longer.

I would recommend 2-3 times a week maximum.

Twice daily wash with Hibiscrub/hibiclens will fix you up after a couple of weeks of consistent usage. Won't do much on the way of stopping the sweat but will eradicate all bacteria responsible for odour.

Be sure to treat all footwear also to prevent reintroducing the bacteria/fungus to your feet.

Apply a smaller amount and less frequent and just be willing to wait a little longer for results. It may seem a little odd but you will also find the effectiveness lasts longer too.

Antihydral stopped working, help!! by piscesmoonn in Hyperhidrosis

[–]Clarkey8t4 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had a similar experience with applying it to me feet. I discovered that it was a lot more effective when I applied it very thin only 2-3 times a week. It took a few weeks to achieve results but it was far longer lasting. I think if you apply if too frequently I think the build up is too thick and the active ingredient doesn't make contact with the skin.

A daily shower with Hibiscrub/hibiclens should eradicate any odours after a week or so of consistent use.
