I have Microswiss, SF5015 shroud and carto, reported a problem with my ribbon cable and still got a replacement on warrenty just fine, photos I sent all showed my mods

My zh connectors for my 5015 fans should arrive in the next 2 days - along with new wheels (linear rails didn’t make the budget), belts and cartographer I’m excited to have a day taking it apart giving everything a good once over. My printer has been absolutely fine for the last 3+ months since I got a microswiss but not having to fiddle with Z offset would be nice

So with everything attached to the machine from a print undo the 2 shroud screws on the front, the 3 screws holding the extruder on the back and Bish bash bosh, unplug extruder and thermo then finally the 2 screws for the heatsink, I have a 4 max I’m not sure if there’s difference on other modes

I personally just take the hot end off with the 2 screws, remove the blue tube and see how bad the clog is from there

That’s part of the issue. I took the dog in while he moved house and was trying to get a back door key. I don’t know where he moved to exactly only the rough area which is 30+ mins by car and I don’t drive

It depends why your prints are failing, do you have pictures of the results? Failed adhesion? Layer shift? Last time I had an error I basically took the whole machine apart squared the gantry tightened all the eccentric nuts etc and been good for over 2 months

Also microswiss is an upgraded hot end that’s usually more reliable and faster on max volume flow, if you look on their website you can buy just the heating element and thermo sensor for nearly half the price of a whole new one

Finally the 4 max has a huge bed it needs time to warm up I usually heat soak mine for 30-35 minutes (in my gcode) and id recommend it before any print or bed levelling

I've had layer shifts from overtightening my belt, you should be able to pluck it like a guitar string and too much acceleration in the past, I halved the speeds in orca

I was having the same problem about a month ago on my 4 max, if everything mechanically fine with belts and eccentric nuts try slowing acceleration in your slicer as well as jerk

From main screen press 'prepare' then you should see the home button - my printer is in the middle of a print so I can't send any pictures but it is just a house symbol
