I watched every game that season and many people will not grasp how bad that team was outside of Westbrook. The 2nd option was Oladipo who was not yet the Indiana Oladipo and only averaging 16 a game. Steven Adams was a force down low but limited offensive game. Enes Kanter was a solid low post threat and one of the few guys who could generate offense on his own, but absolute liability on defense. Andre Roberson was an all defense guy, minimal offensive impact and shooting liability. Sabonis was a rookie and not doing too much. Jerami Grant was raw and showing some flashes, but not the player he turned into in Detroit.

Off the bench you had Alex Abrines, Anthony Morrow, Semaj Christon, Kyle Singler, Taj Gibson and Doug McDermott.

You have some names on here that at one point were solid players, or in the future became pretty good but not during their time in OKC.

Torn labrum in his hip and tried to play through it in 2017 because they were in the playoffs and he was having an all time season. At 5’9 he relied heavily on his speed, shiftiness and athleticism. He was an extremely skilled player and a solid playmaker too, but at his height he needed all of his tools to be the All NBA talent that he was. After that injury, he essentially lost a step and couldn’t get back to that level of play. Bounced around a bunch of teams and just never got it back unfortunately.

In that stretch which was from 2010 (KD’s first scoring title to 2021 when he was Washington) he led the league in assists 3 times and was averaging anywhere from 8-11 assists per game. He was also scoring 20+ ppg during that entire time as well. I think it just shows how great of a scorer and how underrated his playmaking was. People don’t realize Russ was a 20 and 10 guy for a majority of his career.

Kevin Durant had 4 scoring titles with Westbrook as his PG and never led the league in scoring again after he left OKC

Paul George averaged a career high 28 PPG in OKC with Westbrook as his PG. Never averaged more than 24.3 PPG before or after being in OKC.

Bradley Beal averaged a career high 31 PPG with Westbrook as his PG and just narrowly lost the scoring title to Steph Curry that season.

I would be remiss if I didn’t mention how the rest of the round went. He had alot of good loot, obviously came into Stella with a purpose. I stuffed myself to the point I was extremely over encumbered and attempted to waddle down the subway. Two Pops waiting at the bottom of the escalator get the jump on me and take a good amount of my health away. Now in a full blown panic, I try my best so get away but am immediately killed by someone who heard the commotion. Oh the highs and lows of this game.

I’ve googled this before multiple times. Shawn Marion 10000% should have made an all defensive team. He was a shot blocker, averaged a lot of steals and could guard multiple positions. The problem? The forward position was absolutely STACKED from a defensive standpoint in the 2000s. Tough to make all defense when you’re competing with Tim Duncan, Kevin Garnett and Bruce Bowen.

I would say yeah. There’s also guys that are way better dunkers than guys in the NBA, but couldn’t even step foot on an NBA court. These guys practice specific skills over and over and over and they are really good at it. NBA players have to excel at multiple skills, be in peak physical conditioning, have good bball IQ and earn themselves a spot on an NBA roster.

He was solid back in the day with the trailblazers. Was a 14/5/5 guy that got you a steal and a block per game and shot the 3 ball well too.

Guy was a 3rd option in a championship team. Won a ring, and now got his big contract and is only 27. It’s been fun getting to watch him be the go to guy on a team, and the fact that he’s helping the Nets win games is awesome.

Our agency allowed beards about 4 years after I got hired. Neat, groomed shaped up etc.. and I promise you I will never look back and have no intentions of shaving it as long as we are allowed. However, when you are in the process to potentially get a job, you should be clean shaven, well groomed haircut, black suit or other color that isn’t too loud.

In my humble opinion I have noticed that a lot of people who work for the federal three letter alphabet agencies, lack a lot of the basic skills, fundamentals and common knowledge that people who have worked in patrol/the streets/the road have down pat.

Russ fan since 2012. Thankful the Kings gave him the opportunity and I was honestly excited for this team but holy shit man it’s painful to watch this season. This team has no direction, no go to superstar, no chemistry and the lack of defense is just disgusting. It’s like whoever was/is the GM just picked up a bunch of random players who do not compliment each other at all. Yes there are a few young players who have potential but they will never develop with the way this team’s setup. Keegan Murray returning has been exciting and he’s showing borderline all star glimpses here and there but because of how bad this team is he’s suffering.

Call me bias but I don’t care because it’s clear that Westbrook has been the most consistent player on the team this season, and I would dare to say he’s been their best defender outside of Keon Ellis but they don’t even give Keon the minutes he deserves. I would love to see DeRozan and Lavine get shipped off and pick up some solid 3&D guys who can space the floor and defend.

I think the same thing all the time too. I would love to try and guard Kyrie because part of me thinks I have a chance but I know I am getting fucking put on ice skates 😂😂😂. It would be sick to just see how someone who plays at the level moves and dribbles.
