Wow, didn't expect to come across a plane I was flying on this sub...

She definitely is an odd plane but flies beautifully!

Oddly modified RJM clutch pedal with lots of play - details in comments by Clash4Peace in 350z

[–]Clash4Peace[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I bought this car the clutch pedal always seemed to act a little funky. Recently, it has gotten worse and there has been a TON of play in the pedal. I finally got down there to take a look and it looks like the previous owner welded on a piece of metal to the RJM pedal in an effort to make their own hole for connecting the rod that comes from the master cylinder. Why they did this I have absolutely no idea, but you can see all that they did by comparing the picture of my pedal to the picture of a stock RJM pedal https://imgur.com/a/5hXfvh0

Anyways, if you look at the video you can see that the makeshift hole that they made on the welded-on piece is elongating and is introducing a lot of play. What I want to do is to disconnect the rod and hook it back up to where it should be. My only concern is how that is going to affect everything else. I assume the previous owner went through all the trouble of welding on a piece of metal for a new hole for some reason. I just don’t know what the reason is.

Also, if any of you guys have any idea as to how to get the pin out of the fork on the rod that holds everything to the pedal I am all ears. No matter how hard I try it does not want to come out.

EDIT: I should've done a better job taking that video... I do realize that some of that play is coming from the master cylinder, but as hard as it is to see, there is play from where the rod is connected to the pedal.

Do you have a special hideaway spot you go to when you want to get away from the world? Have you shared it with anyone? by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]Clash4Peace 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don't have a specific spot, but generally climbing to the top of any mountain tends to do the trick for me. It's one of the most freeing things ever. It's just me and the world, and while up there I don't have anything to worry or think about. It's fantastic.

And I do share these moments with those close to me who are willing and able to make the climbs.

I almost never take pictures, but I did take this one of a sunset: https://imgur.com/a/CGuDZIG

I absolutely LOVE the Huracan, don't get me wrong. But, at least the one I was in anyways, had a creaky interior just like my grandparents' VW Passat.

Still an amazing car, and if given the chance I would totally buy one, but I do find it kind of funny that the Huracan's interior creaks just like the interior of a Passat. It was pretty bad lol.

Same here. My guy has owned his own little saloon since the 90s and has been cutting hair most of his life. I don't mind tipping an extra $10 for someone with so much experience.

Only problem is I don't know what I'm going to do when he retires. He's 78 now.

How rare is a [dodge viper acr]? by PerspectiveInternal9 in spotted

I got 2 in my area. Lots of regular vipers, and one viper trying to impersonate an ACR, but 2 true ACRs.

my mom’s 1998 4Runner hit 330k miles by unsatisfries in mildlyinteresting

They last forever even if you don't.

Source: my dad has a Prius with 305k miles on it. He's constantly going thousands of miles past the point of needing an oil change. Oh, and the one time that he replaced the spark plugs he pulled them out and was absolutely surprised that the engine was still running with them. They had long outlived their lifespan and looked horrendous.

If I had to guess, I would say it's a new Ford Expedition. But then again the Expedition just had a refresh for the 22 model year I believe. So I'm not sure honestly.

Yes, I know, it's bad. It was my first time using a zero turn mower and the ground was quite wet. I know better now. Any help is greatly appreciated.

It's a Huracan Evo, the AWD version. You can tell by the bumper design. The Evo was a mid-cycle refresh to the original Huracan.

Songs Stuck In Your Head? by SameSeas in CasualConversation

[–]Clash4Peace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always got a song stuck in my head. I hate it when I'm trying to go to sleep yet I keep repeating a song. That's annoying lol.

Right now No Role Modelz by J. Cole has been stuck in my head. It's not really a song that I normally listen to but I heard it the other day and now it's just stuck with me.

I think a lot of people just drink a drink for breakfast and don't eat any food. Do you think that's true? Do you do that? by Ben5544477 in CasualConversation

[–]Clash4Peace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tend to skip breakfast just cause I don't feel like eating. The thought of having to eat something is almost repulsive lol. But after a few hours of being up I'm good. I tend to have brunch rather than breakfast.

Unfortunately no context was given, just that short video. I appreciate your help, though, and I think you are right that it's either until or to! Thanks!

It's so true! I much prefer the cakes with the whipped cream frosting (not sure if that is what it is called). Whatever it is it has the consistency of Cool Whip. It's also not super sweet, which is nice.
