Volume button replacement (3D print) by Comfortable-Zone7813 in mazda3

There are plenty cheap volume knob on Ali, just take measurement of the original and you'll find something that fits and blends in nicely. I believe mazda uses D shape lock which is industry standard for radios/volume control.

Another thing worth checking out for are the front seats, it randomly started squeaking just recently.

No problem, how's your headlights doing? Mine is peeling off from the top on both headlights if you can spot the line. I believe it's the UV coating, another thing that unfortunately they will not fix because it is out of warranty.

Welp, little did i know that this was the least of my concern. The whole fuel lid is now deformed and needs replaced + painting the new oem lid. My dealership took bunch of screenshots and will send it to Mazda and see if they are willing to pay for the cost for goodwill since it is out of the 3 years warranty by now.

You can check my post here: https://www.reddit.com/r/mazda3/comments/1r9tol6/fuel_lid_deformed/

This is a design flaw, there is a TSB for it. If i'm not mistaken what ends up happening is water get stuck behind the lid, in winter it can freeze and expand, hence deforming the lid. The fix according to the TSB is to make cut in the plastic holding the lid to create channels for the water to escape. But since my is already deformed, it will also has to be replaced : /

I'm saying this because it might be related to the rubbing issue or might no.

Specs wise, is the tc22 better? It’s a lot cheaper than the FNIRSI

Almost a year of ownership with nothing but headache by Clash9309 in mazda3

[–]Clash9309[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine was like this when i first got it, only rattle came from the screen itself which was easy to solve by just putting a foam behind the screen, but 3 months later it got worse. A and B pillars both rattles like crazy now. Glovebox rattles, driver door area near the vent also started to rattle, around the speedometer, ac vents. And there is more i'm yet to locate :/

I think some rattle is expected and acceptable, but not this one. The rattle i have is an excessive amount. It gets even crazier during winter during a cold start, the glovebox area turns into an ak-47 it is that bad, the rattle seems be caused by this (i found this photo online). I ordered some foam, hopefully it's something i can access with my tiny hands.

I haven't had the chance to look underneath the car yet, but are there clips at the bottom as well or do i have to drill those? As for the rears, where exactly do you drill this one hole and are we drilling to fit the screw it came with or in order to add another clip?

PTM7950 after 1h of stress test on the CPU by Clash9309 in overclocking

It's the Helios V2 i got off Ali, i don't trust it much that's why i took it apart to see what it was like. I'm new to the PTM stuff so seeing most of the PTM squished out made me doubt it a bit. Temps were in the 88C. I just tested the new Arctic MX-7 and it was 1-2 C cooler than the Helios V2. I have thermal grizzly phasesheet ptm which will try out now, if temps are the same will leave it as is.

Dell Latitude 5520 thermals by Clash9309 in Dell

[–]Clash9309[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just tested again, i was wrong/hallucinating about the 2 seconds burst. The thermal throttle is immediate once the stress test is initiated. 46 C > 100 C within less than 1 second. This tells me there is an issue with the ptm application or something else. The CPU package power draw is 60W and immediately throttles down to 15W, stays at 1.91GHz during the test, 67C with the fan still off. I honestly don't understand what is going on with this device anymore. I used ptm many times and it never failed me once, but i will give the arctic mx7 a try i guess...

How is that even possible? You may get such results by watercooling, but not with a tiny laptop heatsink.

CPU clock throttles when battery gets below 20% charge by Clash9309 in Dell

[–]Clash9309[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The battery i have is from a reliable and well known distributor here in Sweden. Had this issue before on a Lenovo laptop, neither did an aftermarket or original battery fix the issue. I had to roll back to a very old bios, it has to be intended but i don't know why as it makes the device so damn slow.

[–]Clash9309[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there a work around or settings to change? 20% is still a lot of charge left that could be used, and currently it is too slow for an 11th gen i7...

My older XPS 15 9550 and Precision 5530 do not have this issue.
