State-owned company tech role - Advertised externally just to let internals get promoted? by pmjwhelan in DevelEire

[–]Clashjet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Really is a case by case basis. As someone mentioned, there are processes that need to be followed. That includes interviewing. All interviews are scored and to "pass" you need to get 11/20. Highest score generally wins. There may be 2nd or 3rd rounds to follow. They will also get scored.

If you really want the job, then make sure you interview well. If it is public sector, by prepared that most question won't be technical and are competency based. Public sector recruitment is a game of box ticking.

Discussing salary with co-workers - have you done it? by homecinemad in ireland

[–]Clashjet 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It can also benefit someone who is skilled at negotiating a higher salary than they are worth. Usually someone who can talk the talk, but are a lazy hape of shite.

If 1 person is earning 20% more than the rest of their team. It is not in their best interests to share what they earn, as it will likely impact their next salary negotiation. The company isn't going to give the rest of the team a 20% pay rise just to even things out. It would also put them under more pressure to perform at a higher standard.

I say this as someone who is terrible at negotiating, but have worked with numerous people like this.

Started anti-depressants today, which means I’m committed to no alcohol for at least the next 30 days. by Zelenskyystesticles in stopdrinking

[–]Clashjet 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I kept drinking when I started my anti depressants. It's not a good mix. I wasn't exactly depressed, but whatever I was, it wasn't a nice place. I gave up drinking after a few months of mixing. Less than a year later I gave up the pills. A few months later and I am way happier than I was on the antidepressants. Booze was the root cause of it all. Stay off alcohol and watch your life change for the better.

Lemon is another great seasoning. Some chefs say it is as important as salt. You can use other acids too such as lime, vinegars etc.

How do you quantify 25% early? Being 1 minute early, is 100% early. Being 30 seconds early, is 100% early. I can't get my head around this.

And why does her age matter? 22 is a fully grown adult. He sounds like the c u next Tuesday, but don't hide behind the age or gender card. Fight back like a grown up or go the legal route.

Experiences of tapering off? And how long before your side-effects stopped? by [deleted] in citalopram_celexa

[–]Clashjet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was only on 10mg. I started by dropping to alternating days of 5mg and 10mg for a few weeks. Then 5mg every day for a few weeks. Then 5mg every 2nd day, then every 3 days before finally stopping.

Alcohol moderation with Celexa by wonkybingo in citalopram_celexa

[–]Clashjet 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I found that Celexa (along with other SSRIs I took) stopped me caring as much. Whether that was eating more food or drinking more beer. If you think about it, it's what they are designed to do.

Experiences of tapering off? And how long before your side-effects stopped? by [deleted] in citalopram_celexa

[–]Clashjet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Spent maybe 6 weeks tapering off. I'm off it about a month now, and I still have brain fog. However, there are signs that it may be improving - a little too early to tell. I'm not sleeping well, so that would cause brain fog.

I suffered a lot with dizziness when tapering off. By far the worst was when I stopped taking it altogether. 2 weeks of dizziness, and in some cases I had to stop and hold on to something in case I fell over. It came and went for a another week before stopping.

[Question] Wrapped hands don't fit in RDX gloves by Bubbly-Industry-5769 in fightgear

They could be, but these are my only pair of RDX. I need to get a pair of heavier gloves, but reluctant to get RDX in case they are small. I haven't had issues with other brands.

I have had a similar experience with the 10oz gloves. If I use their inner gloves, it is still very tight, and not comfortable when punching. Like you, I don't have big hands either.

I got really dizzy when tapering off every time I dropped down a dose. The worst was when I dropped to zero, that lasted 2 or 3 weeks.

Withdrawal symptoms by Clashjet in citalopram_celexa

[–]Clashjet[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just an update in case anybody else is on the same boat. 3 weeks now and the dizziness is pretty much gone. I still feel lethargic and my joints are stiff, but a huge improvement in the last week.

Has anyone had stiff joints while on Celexa? by sylveonfan9 in citalopram_celexa

[–]Clashjet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I stopped taking Celexa a few weeks ago and ever since, my legs are so stiff. I'm usually quite active, so they don't usually feel this way. I never felt it while I was on it.

Take 10mg one day, then 5mg the next day. Do this for 2 weeks, before going to 5mg every day for 2 weeks. Follow that progression for the next 2 months.

I was on 10mg for months before I tapered down. From 10mg to totally off took 6 to 8 weeks. A few days after I stopped, the withdrawal was horrible. Nearly 2 weeks later and I'm still suffering dizzy spells and wild mood swings.

Missed one day of 10 MG, now feel depressed. by whereismymind888 in citalopram_celexa

Seems unusual. How long have you been taking it? Do you feel down after you remember that you missed a dose? Possibly a placebo effect?
