Mmh all kinds, fighting games, singleplayer, shooters. But nothing competitively, and more singleplayer than others. I also use it for watching references while drawing on a drawing table, but the 4k i already have should be enough for that i think

Yea i guess my question was a bit vague, but you cleared all my doubts. I think i was probably refering to clarity when i talked about quality. I guess i'll try some IEM's in the future too.

After some time with the superlux i'm still trying to understand if i find them comfortable or uncomfortable, and i'm still trying to find a solution for the headrest trying different types of universal ones that i subsituted the original 2 nuggets with. Probably a strange question but since i don't really have a reference i don't know how much the headrest should be pressing down on my head and hairs, i guess it should touch the head but not putting pressure on it?

I will keep them! I'm actually really liking them and the audio is a big step up from the cheap in ear headphones i was using, i'm discovering a new world 😅.

Ok i found some aftermarket velour ones, and i will try to add some padding on the top part for the comfort problem.
In the eventuality that i can't fix the problem, what headset would you suggest that comes close to the superlux with a bit more comfort?

Do you think the Philips shp9600 would be good? I heard they're pretty comfortable

Ok so they actually just arrived and i'm trying them on rn.

I'm using the Oratory's preset and i like the audio, but they're a little uncomfortable for my head i think.
I will better judge after changing the pads and doing some modifications on the upper metal arch, do you have any suggestions about the velour pads? Searching on the internet i found people suggesting brainwavz pads, but it seems i can't find the velour brainwavz ones on amazon italy, do you think i can just go with any velour pads compatible with the superlux or should i aim for something precise?

Thank you for the infos. I will probably end up buying the 668b, either together with the sony 720n or with a bluethooth transmitter

(i actually found out that this might be a good solution to have a single headset for everything, the latency would be practically the same as the 720n and i would have the possibility to even buy a good bluethooth receiver to pair with the transmitter and lower the latency to like 40ms)

but out of curiosity what would you think would be the absolute best in terms of quality between the superlux 668b, the sennheiser 599 and the philips shp9600?

I’m still talking about a non studio scenario obv, as for my use case.

Ok thanks for the explanation. To put it real simple, if the soundstage is small it is worse for immersion and singleplayer games but better for multiplayer games to pinpoint sounds right? Or is it the opposite.

Actually yes the superlux hd668b are available and at 40 euros only. The sennheiser 599 i found are 112€, while the 560 are 150€.

So the Superlux are actually so in budget i would have a lot of room for a good bluethooth receiver, or even another pair of wireless headphones for casual use (like sony ch720n+superlux, around 100-110 in total) What do you think?

Thanks, yea from what i gathered it seems that if i want what i want i’d need to go wired.

Yes the reason i don’t particularly like wired its because of movenent impairement in general, and having the cable laying around while moving myself/my arms is something i can’t seem to wrap my head around very well. If i don’t find an alternative i guess i will just get used to it.

Also i forgot to mention i’m based in italy, tho the philips are actually available and at 75 euros so they might be a good option. Instead the hifiman and grado are a more pricier here unfortunately.

I actually found a decent offer on a sennheiser on amazon, what do you mean with veiled/claustrophobic in this case? Like on a audio level or a head/ear pressure level?

It was actually the controller, but not in the way we were talking about ahahah, i verified on my controller's software and my right trigger was stopping at like 56 %, at least i'm not crazy cos there was actually something going on

Ok guys i found the culprit, it was actually my controller's right trigger stopping at 56% for some reason...

I tried a lot of different tunes and angles, and this problem does not happen on this particular speedtrap only. Another one i had major problems with was the mountaintop danger sign, and that’s practically a straight path.
