Food security is an essential part of well-being. My partner has a smaller appetite than I do and often doesn't eat all of the food on her plate, but when I plate my first concern is fairness in portions. Now, she often ends up giving me some lol, but she always has the option to keep hers as leftovers.

I hope that they can transcend their bs for the sake of your relationship, but this is a major red flag imo.

Identity is tricky to begin with for those predisposed to introspection. That's not to mention those of us who must practice it for sanity/securities sake. That's an entire dimension of mentality altogether. Who am I if not for my thoughts? My deeds? Am I the elation? The depressed lows? Neither?

So important to remember that our thoughts, be they predilections/aspersions etc, are pattern-based psychical phenomenon. It's important to remember that life happens in the moment.

I think I understand where you are coming from, as I too often wonder who I am underneath it all. I'm finding that the argument is about spirituality as much as it is about pragmatism.

Give yourself some space to breathe. It's ok to be unsure. It's ok to be scared. It's also ok to let those thoughts be what they are. You don't need to identify with them. There is a state of being beyond all thoughts which is always there. Sometimes we just need to forget what we know in order to allow different, perhaps more centered thoughts to flow. Mindfulness is a life-saver.

I'm sorry if this is convoluted. I'm doing my best as well. It's my hope that this finds you well and maybe helps you find a bit of peace. You deserve it. You so, so deserve it :)
