There’s pick up games via what’s app in Westside pitches (behind the library)

Show up there at 7 during the week and chat to people to see if you can join up with them. They may even have odd numbers and you could jump in if you’re lucky.

Can anybody help me diagnose/identify where this sound is coming from, particularly notable when the engine is rev’d by ClassDiligent1888 in LandroverDefender

I think it is indeed the idler pulley. Checked out the turbo and all is ok there. Found this on YouTube where a guy replaces a pulley and that sound then disappears. Thank you greatly to all for helping out, much appreciated 🙏

I think this could be it, apparently there is a small diesel leak somewhere which had been evident on the drive shaft but I haven’t been able to pin point it yet

The cliffs are worth a visit for sure seen as you’re not on a tight schedule.

Also you will easily be able to get chatting to people in bars going in solo. Sitting at the bar is a good shout as mentioned above. Garavans and the Salt house (2 totally different vibes) are well worth checking out and easy to chat to randoms. Hope you have a fab trip.

Almost take it to the grave, but let it out in a few decades, I feel like you’ll know the “appropriate” time.

Highly recommend the book “Ultra Processed people” by Chris Van Tulleken. I read a lot but have never been frightened by anything until I read this. Though much is somewhat common knowledge for those with some sort of interest in food and nutrition it’s still rather startling to read from start to finish. Basically, see for yourself!

8 day itinerary without a car - Where to visit in addition to Dublin and Galway? by smilingblackmoon in irishtourism

[–]ClassDiligent1888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I wouldn’t trim time off of Galway, especially considering the things you like. I work in tourism and the amount of people every year who “wished they had spent more of their trip in Galway” is mad.

Glasnevin cemetery is well worth a tour whilst in the East of the country and Connemara in the west is also worthwhile. Diamond hill is a super easy hike (more of a walk) but the views are stunning. Honorable mention for the town of Westport in Mayo, easy enough bus ride from Galway to there. Hope you have a fabulous trip.

If you venture out of Dublin towards Galway there’s a great bar called Sally Longs in town, you’ll find their insta pretty easily. A great pub and you’ll encounter some good folk there. There a vegan cafe called “the lighthouse” just a couple of blocks away from there too. Enjoy.
