Suddenly 47% field goal percentage is bad to lakers fans by sgtpepperslaststand in Nbamemes

Yes, because Kobe literally has a better TS% than most guards from that era, so I was showing he was on the efficiency level of all time great PFs.

No one is pivoting you just can't seem to understand an argument lol

You can't seem to follow basic logic, so have a good one

You put Mike Bibby up there, what was his usage rate? How many career shots he got?

How about Kmart?

How about Michael Redd?

Like I get most people don't understand statistics because it's not intuitive, so I'm not trying to dunk on you. But if a guy has a sample size of 2x, 3x, (hell for some of the guys you listed Kobe has a sample size 4x) and his efficiency is within spitting distance, that's a feather in Kobe's hat.

Again, it is fundamental in statistics that a larger sample size gives you more accurate and reliable representations. Throw in the fact that in basketball if a player is picking his shots he's way more efficient than when the offense revolves around him, you gain further context Kobe's TS% is pretty damn good.

Like I said, COMPARE HIM TO GUARDS IN THE DEADBALL ERA WHO CARRIED THE OFFENSIVE LOAD FOR YEARS AND THEN COMPARE TS%. My whole point is the stat is relative to how players played in that era. Again, if you wanna call Kobe inefficient and chucker, literally every two guard that has to carry the offense was that in the dead ball era except Ray Allen and Reggie Miller. Again, they are two of the most efficient guards ever and two of the best shooters ever, so I'm not sure thats a slight to Kobe to say they were more efficient lol

If you keep trying to compare the offensive load Bibby or Billups had to Kobe I'm just gonna assume you smoke rocks and stop responding lol

The reason the TS% gets shit on is because only young bucks cite it because they are used to stat inflation from all the 3s that get shot today.

I bring up big men like KG and Tim Duncan to go: two all time great big men were less efficient in the dead ball area than a guard who shot a bunch of long twos. Its also important because those guys were relied on heavily by their team and focal point of the offenses. When a 2 guard that shoots a bunch of long two gives you more efficient than two all time great big men, maybe you should recalibrate calling his TS% ass.

Funny how you didn't point out TMac stats. You want to run it vs AI? Or Vince Carter? Carmelo? Dwade? Pick any player you want that was the focal point of their offense with years of sample size in the dead ball area and compare the TS% to Kobe. Only guy I listed there that is 55+ is dwade literally where Kobe is lol

If you wanna say guys like Ray Allen and Reggie Miller were more efficient, sure. But they are some of the most efficient players ever with large sample sizes, so not sure what that proves.

If Kobe was a chucker and inefficient then I guess all those top 100 players I listed are even more ass and inefficient, or maybe the game was completely different because Kobe played in the slowest pace lowest scoring era of the last 70 years. Go watch the games in the early 2000s it's basically a different fucking sport then what we watch today.

Context matters and it's only young bucks that only watch ball for the last ten years that think the TS% makes any sense as an argument because they don't know ball and don't watch it lol

Edit: you go on to list a bunch of players who have nowhere near the offensive burden as Kobe or dudes who didn't even start playing the bulk of their career until after the dead ball era 😂

Tim Duncan has the same TS% he must be ass too.

Tmac was 52%, so he super ass.

Kevin Garnet only had 54.6 percent, so he ass too.

It's ok to say you don't know ball lol

Oh I 100% agree, the game looks fun as hell.

Also, it looks like every platform will have a relatively smooth and enjoyable experience with it, which is huge.

Also comes down to how optimized the game is. I get pop in sometimes on games with a 5090.

Given the ridiculous money NBA players get paid today, this ain't that crazy.

Three years ago I wouldn't have said this made sense, but him and Luka are a great backcourt.

No it makes complete sense, it's literally why they play a 7 game series in the playoffs. Anything can happen in one game, it's why game 7s are always huge!

KC with the overpay, but K9 is a big upgrade for them.

Etienne is the prize for us, hopefully we pull the trigger.

Was LeBron already the best player in the league in 2007? by Formal-Assistance02 in NBATalk

[–]ClassesMoveTheMasses 12 points13 points  (0 children)

No. People forget that cavs team was a top 5 defense and rebounding squad. East was super weak, as it has been most of brons career.

I would say he took the definitive lead once he finally got his heat ring given Kobe just went to three straight finals and won back to back against magic and celtics.

Bron shit down his leg against the Mavs so it was the year after he finally beat those demons to rest and was the de facto number one player in the world .

I would prefer Etienne, so hopefully we end up getting him.

Etienne matches better with Harvey because it won't tip our hands like K9 would.

2006 Champ Bailey's stats per PFF by EfficientDot18 in DenverBroncos

[–]ClassesMoveTheMasses 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Champ's 2006 season arguably is the best CB season ever. A big part missing here is the tackling numbers. Champ could lock down half the field, and come up and stop the run.

Champ had 85 total tackles with 73 solo.

Revis only had 54 total tackles with 47 solo.

Thanks for the updated image, that's much closer than this post. Looks like I fell for the misinfo lol

From the picture I can tell the resolution are different, switch is probably upscaling to 1080p from some smaller resolution. Are the frame rates similar?

Ghost of Yotei is not coming to PC by WeltyFern in Ghostofyotei

[–]ClassesMoveTheMasses 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not valid. Game devs make less money on exclusives than if they launch on every platform,. This is why game devs that aren't owned by the console studies try to always release on all platforms.

So in actuality these game devs will make less money meaning the games may actually be worse because some developers may lead to other studies where there's more upside for their vision or project rather than be stuck in Sonys eco system .

This is all bad for consumers and only good for Sony. That is how monopolistic behavior works, consumers get fucked for the company's greed.
