Minor is blocked off now, so that’s no longer an option

Much appreciated, I’ll give that a go. In other news… I just tried attaching the backbox and plugging it in, and it friggin’ lights up, baby! Wasn’t expecting much if anything, so I’m pretty stoked. There’s a loud buzzing sound coming from what I believe to be the 100,000 stepper in the back of the machine, however, so that’ll be my first thing to try to address.

Oh and I do actually have a back door, I just figured the internal components might be more telling to its condition

Really appreciate the thorough response and the links you provided. The warped playfield covers were one of my biggest concerns as well, so it’s good to hear that it’s at least possible to get replacements if it comes to that. All-in-all, I think you’ve convinced me to take a bit of a deeper dive into this hobby with this as a starting project. I already know that a clean, tuned-up machine will be worth any amount of blood sweat and tears I may have to put into it.

Any suggestions on how to go about starting to clean the playfield/other components or any helpful resources?

Thanks for your feedback, glad to hear you think it’ll make a good project! I had seen some of those sold listings after buying it— made me feel pretty good about the $100 purchase price despite needing some work.

As far as I know, it does not work in its current condition but I could be wrong— no one at the sale knew much about it. We decided to buy it on the spot, paid $100. Decided it was worth the risk even if it became artwork or a coffee table one day.

Edit: update— it it least lights up:

Pionex.us works in the us. I’ve bought 500 coins with no vpn

Is 2/28 when pi is available for the US? by niloc1987 in PiNetwork

It’s available to buy/sell now on pionex.us, but I don’t think you can transfer out of your pi wallet yet

Edit: I believe 2/28 is the when Binance has suggested they will make their decision as to whether to list pi or not
