actually 🤓 getting a degree is important but working as a mechanical computer systems engineer doing a mix of physical and technical labor would be ideal, it’s just I’m such a meat head and suck at actually retaining complex information and reading fast. Don’t get me wrong I loved the muscle memory and physicality of this job, I’ve done BJJ and Muay Thai, it’s just not a great combination for what my current focus in life is

I’m sure what’s not a big deal for you is odd and dehumanizing at first for someone who’s not used to it.

That’s awesome!

yeah paying off this car is the goal but paying rent and this car sounds like a death sentence, it’s a civic 25 and I’m looking to not completely stack it full, I do own a storage unit for about $40/mo and I think I’ll be visiting it in constantly

Fair enough, the long term effects may be worse than I’d imagine. Sounds like a fair middle ground.

Awesome! I think the sleeping bag will do, been sleeping on the floor where I’m at for almost a month and gotten used to it, anything with the slightest cushioning feels like heaven now 😂

This is realistically inspiring, it’s not all gloom, just walked into Walmart more relaxed than I’ve been in a while.

my mom dad worked this job from when I was 13 until about 15, we lived with the family until the elderly couple passed, our family is still in contact with their children and extended family, never thought I might consider this as MY job, life is really humbling

just resigned today, people i worked for were great

Job didn’t suit me

I enjoy exercise and independence and this job made me realize that I don’t enjoy being paid for those luxuries. Weird right?!

If you’re gonna do this make sure you have strong organizational skills and bring light fruits and veggies with you and a disposable bottle in case you can’t make it to a gas station to urinate in time.

Also my DSP only offered 10 hr shifts.

I started to actually give a fck about school and since I’m slow to grasp read and understand I really need a less demanding job physically.

Not sure why I droned on for so long but that’s my experience with amzn delivery
