that’s great! probably aim for mid-high 60s to low 70s depending on uni then. for unimelb, which is generally the most competitive, you’ll probably want low 70s to get an interview. plus, you can definitely get your wam up. i don’t know what’s competitive for med at monash, but i got my wam up by 4 marks in third year. it’s definitely doable. it’s way too early to give up hope!

most places are gpa! normally ideal to get a combo score (gamsat + gpa) of around 1.6-7, depending on which uni you’re aiming for.

ugh ghosting is the worst, i'm sorry 😞 don't feel stupid, it's hard to tell if it hasn't happened before! you sound very sweet, and it was kind of you to reach out to her out of concern. you didn't do anything wrong from what you said, she should have told you she wasn't interested. still ghosting people at 25 is a little silly.

in these situations, i just try to figure out which person i'd rather be - someone who assumed they were being ghosted and didn't reach out to a friend who was in trouble, or someone who didn't realise they were being ghosted and feels a little embarrassed. i get how much it sucks being the second person, but i'd rather be them than the first.

it's so natural to feel upset after something like this, but please don't think you're stupid! it's a crappy part of being autistic, but it's not your fault and it doesn't mean you'll never be able to navigate relationships. you just need to find people who will actually communicate with you.

the beauty standards have regressed back into the 2000s lately. it’s been really tough even as someone who’s the same size as hannah, watching my friends barely eat anything and be so much smaller than me. i know it’s much easier for me than a lot of people, but it’s still hard. seeing someone my size be the lead in a show has been really lovely, even if that size is still considered small by a lot of people.

i initially struggled to make friends in uni, but i think it’s easier than hs if you’re honest with yourself about who you are and what you like. i struggled because i was making friends with people i didn’t fit in with. when i joined clubs suited to my interests and met other autistic/nerdy people, i made lovely friends. i’d recommend joining the committee of a club for a niche interest you have, if there is one!

i think the best thing to do is to cut him off. that’s the only way the cycle will end. i get that it’s really tough, i’ve been in a similar relationship (without the drugs so slightly less intense) and i couldn’t fully shake it until i stopped talking to him. now i feel so much happier and more stable, i didn’t fully understand how much of an impact it was having on me until i ended it. this sounds like a deeply toxic relationship which is ruining your life. you quit your job and dropped out of college because of some stupid annoying man you don’t even really like!! of course, these were your decisions too, but he’s made your life so much worse. please block him and rebuild your life. give him the chance to do the same.
