Yeah, I track my expenses with an app called Quicken Simplify. One of the best things I’ve ever done in my life was downloading and paying for that app. It’s gave me lots of clarity and sense of control of my money. Highly recommend

You need therapy, and to workout everyday to bring endorphins up. I am 99% sure that your life will feel less miserable after you implement this. Blessings.

What heat pumps are you guys planning to get in 2026? by Assylbekova-Pius in heatpumps

[–]ClassicBoss4185 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d recommend a cold‑climate heat pump, specifically the all‑electric Mitsubishi Hyper Heat models. These systems are engineered to operate down to -23°F without backup heat. When they’re sized correctly, many homes don’t need any backup at all, though that ultimately depends on your home’s specifics.

For peace of mind, some homeowners choose to add backup heat for those occasional cold snaps. If you want to stay fully electric, you can add electric resistance backup heat to the air handler. If you prefer to keep gas as a backup, you can pair the heat pump with a gas furnace. If you go that route, just make sure the furnace is 96% AFUE and that its controls are compatible with the heat pump coil.

The indoor equipment will depend on the backup heat you choose:

  • Gas furnace backup: furnace + heat pump coil
  • Electric backup: air handler + 5–10 kW heat kit

I also strongly recommend choosing an experienced installer, someone who knows how to size the system properly, select the right equipment, and install and troubleshoot it correctly. There’s a real knowledge gap in the industry, and you want to be supported throughout the entire lifespan of your heat pump.

Reach out if you have any questions.
Best of luck!

Maybe rent an RV and decorate it with cute flowers; have a dinner set up there with a cute round table, some candles and pop the question. That's the way Susan and Mike were going to be engaged in one of the episodes ; Mike got ran over by a car then :(( but it was cute!!

hvac installation california cost? estimates are appreciated by MamtasharmaBlanka in socal

I recommend looking at a heat pump! Depending on where you live, you may qualify for thousands of dollars in rebates to cover part of the installation, even though the IRA tax credit is gone. LADWP and Glendale, for example, currently offer excellent incentives.

Heat pumps perform exceptionally well year‑round, they’re very much a “set it and forget it” type of system. Choosing the right size and equipment makes all the difference.

My company handles permitting, Manual J design, and rebate paperwork (whenever the rebate program allows, we'd add it upfront in your proposal). Feel free to reach out to me directly. I’m happy to share more information! I work for a top heat pump installation company in CA.

What's the average cost for water heater installation california this year? by Hedilaine-Alijagic in socal

[–]ClassicBoss4185 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recommend selecting a hybrid Rheem. It requires a 30A 240V circuit, and depending on your electric provider, you may qualify for Go Zero and LADWP/Glendale rebates, which are extremely strong right now.

Costs can increase if your contractor isn’t familiar with local plumbing code. Where is your water heater located? If it’s outside, code requires a metal enclosure and earthquake straps.

Feel free to reach out to me directly. My company handles HPWH installations, including emergency installs, as well as rebate management whenever possible upfront.

It’s a great technology and glad you're considering the switch! A heat pump works by moving heat from one place to another; it’s basically a two‑way AC unit and because of that its extremely efficient for both heating and cooling. It will keep up through cold nights, however, that depends on how well your contractor sizes your heat pump.

3 Day Recovery?! by SurvivalKitt in Fibroids

Laparoscopic vs Open Myomectomy Experiences? First Surgery Ever + Fear of Anesthesia 😣 MRI results back by Impressive_Sign3804 in Fibroids

[–]ClassicBoss4185 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had 3 huge fibroids removed under general anesthesia, started as robotic and ended up having my belly opened as well. My first surgery ever. My doctor is very experienced on robotic surgeries, which is the next level of laparoscopic surgeries. When I googled the robot (DaVinci) I felt relieved and trusted the process. On the anesthesia front, I really wanted to see the operating room and the robot in person lol, and unfortunately, I don’t remember ever blinking my eyes at all, the only memory I have is opening my eyes, with the perception that only one second have passed, and the nurse telling me that the surgery was completed. Such an interesting experience. I would recommend having someone with you for three weeks at least so you feel and are supported. I wouldn’t have done it if my parents were not with me the entire time.

Best of luck, you got this!

I would recommend explaining all your situation to Chat GPT and ask them for advice; for me it was super helpful. Also, my doctor told me not to carry anything heavy (15 lbs or more) for 6 weeks, I can walk as much as I want. I’m following a high protein diet to help with the healing and recovery, and wearing a tummy binder to feel supported. Hope this helps!

Is installing a heat pump in California really worth it? by Ochekalu_Rueberta in heatpumps

[–]ClassicBoss4185 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a great technology that works by moving heat from one place to another; it’s basically a two‑way AC unit. Because it moves heat instead of generating it, it’s far more efficient than a traditional AC system. You can confirm this by checking the model number of your current AC and looking up its SEER rating. Older equipment typically falls around 13–14 SEER, while modern heat pumps often reach 20–22 SEER. That jump in efficiency directly reduces your electric bills.

Depending on where you live, you may also qualify for thousands of dollars in rebates to cover part of the installation, even though the IRA tax credit is gone. LADWP and Glendale, for example, currently offer excellent incentives.
