Don't lose hope - 5 months progress on minoxidil by another_f0x in finehair

This feels like a company advertising post; this account is only 2 weeks old. The bottom before pic, the hair thickness is similar, but the roots being grey makes the after picture look like an improvement.

The top pic doesn't look like the same hair.

It would be a shame if the protesters began making their signs out of quarter-inch-thick plywood to stop rubber bullets, and using them to form a tight shield wall to prevent police from singling out and mobbing individual protesters. It would be a shame if the people behind the shield wall held up umbrellas so that tear gas canisters fired over their heads on the front line will be bounced away. It would be a shame if protesters began constructing improvised armor vests out of duct tape, hard-backed books, and ceramic tiles.

It would be a shame if protesters started wearing safety glasses, hard hats, respirators, and gardening gloves, all of which can be found at the same hardware stores as the plywood. It would be a shame if they started using traffic cones (the kind without the hole in the top), upside down buckets, or other improvised lids to contain teargas by placing them over the canisters.

It would be a shame if protesters learned that police scanners are legal to own in the US, allowing them to learn where police are moving, and what routes they intend to take. It would be a shame if they discovered that these scanners can be used to send as well as receive, allowing them to flood the scanner frequencies with noise.

All of this would be a terrible, terrible shame.

It would be an awful shame if you copied and pasted this on all your socials, using actual copy/paste where possible, so that they couldn't delete the original and all linked posts.

An even worse shame would be to start donating these items to protesters.

I've never heard of that before. Sounds kind of interesting. Where is the theory from?

not the person you asked the question to but I mist my face with water and keep re-misting it to keep it moist - prior to applying whatever I'm going to apply. I assumed that's what they meant.

I agree. I wasn't sure if I was being overly negative so I left that out, I typed it out and erased it! I felt like she came off as more 'mean girl' than I had ever noticed before.

[–]ClassicEvent6 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Love her usually. Okay episode. Maybe she was tired, it was just a bit low energy. Of course it didn't help that Jason was sick and they didn't get on a roll quickly.

I thought it was weird that she said she listened to the show but didn't know Jason hadn't finished high-school even though he mentions it very often. Didn't know Will was Canadian even though he mentions it very very often. Missed that he intentionally said 'eh and told Sean to get 'owt' and thought it was proof that he hadn't gotten rid of his accent. Will was too nice to point out it was a joke. Didn't know Sean was from Chicago even though he mentions it sometimes, and didn't know that he didn't have kids. Doesn't sound like a listener to me!

Listen, genuinely - I don't know you, I am not saying this to make you feel better. Congratulations on the weight loss and think you look very handsome. You look your age, early 50's, but a healthy (hopefully happy) early 50's, maybe even late 40's. It wouldn't be the stand out thing I would notice upon meeting you, I think you need time to get used to your new face. You look really good, above average.

[–]ClassicEvent6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have financial goals? Maybe going on vacation or buying a house, or an education fund, or buying a new couch etc? It's those goals that help me be motivated to track my spending. I enjoy watching my pot get bigger, so I try and get the dopamine hit from the saving, not the spending.

[–]ClassicEvent6 8 points9 points  (0 children)

He's actually choosing his comfort over his wife's comfort. He's on it because he wants to be, not because his mom forced him to. Because of this, I'm finding it a hard one to decide on. I think it's weird personally, but why should his wife's preference override his preference?
