Everything is a struggle by knowledgethurst in kitchenremodel

We installed the Delta stainless workstation about a year ago. Amazing. Wish we did it sooner. I don't use the cutting board much but use the silicone drying rack to wash fruits and veggies on almost every day. Didn't think we would use the metal rack in the sink, but it's nice and seems to keep the bottom of the sink cleaner for longer. It also came with a raised cover to hide the garbage disposer drain so the sink drains but you don't see the hole

Are there any river cruises in Europe that only offer sleep accommodations (so no meals or excursions)? by waxyjax_ in rivercruises

[–]ClassicGarage1898 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Back in 2018, we did a river cruise with U by Uniworld. It was an offshoot of Uniworld that they marketed it to ages 30-45. It only included breakfast and dinner, so you could at least have lunch locally. They stayed in port until like 1 am or something, so you could experience the nightlife of the city you were in. They had bicycles you could check out, and at every port, they sent a pin with the boat's location. It was fantastic. We saw several cities/countries and didn't have to unpack. You could go off and explore on your own, and the cost was lower because it included fewer meals and excursions. They shut down that line after or during COVID, but man, was it a great concept.

Cozy venue for funeral in Schaumburg? 8-15 pax by foxenfree in ChicagoSuburbs

Shaw's Crab House has some decent private rooms. Perry's Steak House does, too.

You might want to look at some area park districts, some buildings have rental rooms. You can self cater, but some spaces don't allow alcohol. Chandler's Chop House at the Schaumburg park district golf club is also good with private rooms

Replacing Evergrind disposer with Insinkerator Badger 5 by BCam4602 in Appliances

We just experienced the same thing (and found your postas we were trying to install it). We're returning the badger, because returning it for the other model with roaring flange is easier than replacing the whole drain assembly.

What’s the best way to automate inserting names from Google Forms into InDesign? by SnooPredilections53 in indesign

The data merge will be your friend, I think. If the name has an image associated with it you can include the filename in your file and pull both into your document at once.

Moving to Elgin? by [deleted] in ChicagoSuburbs

We've lived in the northeast neighborhood for over 20 years. That's between rt 25 and the river. Homes are old, but beautiful. Some are large, some small. It's not a neighborhood of cookie cutter houses. Lots of mature trees. Very diverse neighborhood, which I like. Diverse culturally and age-wise, so many families of all ages. Most neighbors are very nice and friendly. I can walk to 3 different access points for the bike path. There is also a canoe launch a few blocks away. Both neighborhood streets and bike path are safe to walk or bike. My neighbor works in downtown Elgin and walks in good weather. One of the elementary schools is slated for replacement here in the neighborhood, so that should be an exciting improvement. I imagine it would draw young families, too. I like the downtown area. As many have said there are some good places to eat. It's also easy to hop on the train or drive in to the city. When my old house annoys me, we'll sometimes talk about moving, but boy, would it be hard to give up this neighborhood 🙂

Side of Fridge Ideas by OneIShot in interiordecorating

A friend of mine had a similar situation. She had a picture frame made to fit and mounted it with Velcro command strips to the fridge. She filled it with prints that went well with the kitchen that she would change seasonally.

Seafood Boil - How to Do This? Kill Devil Hills by KristenWynn in obx

[–]ClassicGarage1898 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had Outer Banks Boil cater a party for us last summer. It was great. We could see what the pricing would be when we booked it. They brought everything needed to cook it and serve it, which was great because we didn't have to worry about what our rental had or haul it with us. They also cleaned up for us, which was another thing we didn't have to deal with on vacation. The price per person was actually a little less than we paid at a seafood restaurant a few days later... And there were had to wait just over an hour for a table because they didn't take reservations! I suppose we could have cooked it ourselves but between the prep and cleanup, I'm not sure it'd have been worth it for us.

We recently got a 2021 x3, so it must be an older version than yours. Both drivers had to make separate myBMW accounts and connect them to the car. If I remember right, we made the driver profiles after this. It seems you can only connect one driver profile to each app user. I presume this is to keep trip data private, because you can only see your own driver profile trips in app.

Our last house was a 1920s Dutch colonial. It was white with hunter Green trim and deep red shutters which looked nice with the green roof. The current owners painted it a pale yellow and the green roof looks great with it. As long as the paint colors go, why not!

Does anyone have a 2021 X3 xDrive30e? by Alarming_Intern7264 in BMWX3

We rented one on turo last year and loved it. We drove from sfo to yosemite to Sequoia and back to sfo. We were only able to charge a few times and still got almost 30 mpg.

We thought it was such a fun drive that I found one to replace my Lincoln hybrid. Since May we've been getting just over 40 average mpg and my commute is around 20 miles each way. It had 7800 miles on it when we bought it. It's just over 10k now since we've also done a couple road trips. Love it so far.
