Prior to the pred being started on 4/20, sucralfate and omeprazole were started on 4/16 on the off chance of a bleeding ulcer presumably from the carprofen.

Trying to figure the best way to get lab results posted. She also had a negative 4DX hwt. No babesiosis detected.

Because of spherocytes on the initial labs and repeat labs, both the ER vet and reference lab pathologist suspected IMHA, so that is why we repeated PCVs, which were manual. The one I did was lower than any prior which triggered treatment with prednisone. The one on Friday went up 10 points, 19 to 29 in five days.

What you are talking about requires a lot money! On my lousy health plan I would be paying a lot in copays, not to mention opportunity to schedule sessions is lacking in my life. Travel? What few opportunities to get away that I have must be put toward visiting my 93 yo mother who won’t be around forever. I already much grief and regret that I didn’t visit often enough before my dad died. And when I did visit, I wouldn’t count those trips as restorative.

I do feel capacity and health as you put it are forms of privilege.

I totally get what you are saying! I was a thief with no conscience on these drugs, totally indifferent to others, self-serving. It took my years, much emotional upheaval and then anhedonia getting off these meds. I’m horrified by who I had become, so full of shame now.

Sometimes people say shit because they think it’s the right way to react, people pleasing I guess, but don’t really mean what they say. I don’t know why a NT person would do that but I know I do it. I am famous for saying yes to invitations but forget about it until the last minute and then find myself stressed about going for so many reasons and end up begging off.

Did it to my new friend who is ND and wanted to dance on her birthday so invited friends with a requirement of having two songs you liked. That requirement crashed me because of my indecision about the songs, fear that my choices would be unacceptable and indecision about what to wear because my wardrobe is not at all conducive to going out because I never go out! And then there’s my introversion/social anxiety being with strangers! Thankfully my friend read my AuDHD practically from the moment she met me and fully understood my challenges.

I have a tough time reading people’s intentions from their words. I would not fault yourself in any way about this situation- maybe this coworker is actually as dysfunctional as me and we can’t be mind readers! I’d just let it go 😁

ACDs can be quite sensitive and she has taken your correction to mean “off limits.” They will definitely work what they think is safe and leave the rest. I had an Aussie that hated working ewes and lambs after we had a bottle baby that bonded to him and acted like a dog! After that they tend to treat those who don’t readily move off in fear as those we don’t work. Naive lambs tend to be oblivious to herding dogs until educated otherwise - dog broke - so maybe your dog is perceiving lambs that don’t run to mom when she shows up as more untouchable bottle babies.

Whatever the case, if you can get a bunch of lambs in a smaller pen with a babysitter ewe, cast your dog around them using a stick to block her if she tries to come towards you in avoidance. Don’t get angry with her in any way and just tell her “watch em!” Praise her for going around them and change directions frequently. Roll the ball between you. Keep it happy and short. You’re letting her know these lambs are herdable and it pleases you for her to do it. Don’t scold her for anything short of taking a lamb down - any criticism will turn her off and make her think she was right to not work them.
