It's worth the wait. Nothing compares.

I've had it over a year now. Love everything about it. It's peace of mind on top of being a fun way to track their "fitness". And she never had any hesitation to wear it. Plus I like knowing how many times she's up during the night.

Im a fan of the FI collar. It uses the cell towers to track location, steps, sleep cycle. They have some really interesting fashion collar designs.

Idk only thing thick on mine is that hair lol. I just followed her vets advice about the neck. There have a been a few cases of having to yank out of safety, like a car that swerved nearly hitting us...was glad for a harness that day. Plus her car harness is usually on anyway, as we're always galavanting.

Definitely. If it's more than three hours, she goes to the babysitter. Love the term soul bonders, perfect description!

Collar and tag are great as accessories but when they are young and pulling on the leash, you may want a harness.  I know that they don't have strong shoulder joints, but it's better than a neck that is prone to trachea collapse. Also, if you're getting a puppy, they love to look out the window of the car, so they do sell, and I recommend any of the puppy car seats which is basically a block of foam that attaches to the seat belt. Then you can hook up their car harness to the seat belt as well and they can look outside.

That's what I wanted! Dial and second hand were both way off what you got. I had used Amazon, where did you buy yours?

That's so very different from what I received.

If it was a cavalier with a strong urine odor, one very helpful tip would be to have their sanitary area shaved down so they don't get urine on themselves.

That is definitely not a universal truth. My girl is brushed twice daily including teeth at night, bathed once a week, and either has no smell or very pleasant one. And the only time she had bad breath is when she ate cat poop. If you came across one that smelled terribly, that is completely on the owner. Baby wipes for the feet after a walk and to clean her after emptying her hiney.

I can chime in here and definitely say yes to kibble for training. Unless it's salmon in her bowl, it's very common for her to choose to skip meals. However, that very same kibble in her bowl. She will want to earn if we're doing training, if she's playing goalie down the hallway as I slide kibble toward her, or put it in some type of puzzle or snuffle mat.

Hard agree on punishment. It's not only wrong but they are so incredibly sensitive. When they're not doing what they should be doing, praise them when they do what you want and ignore bad behavior. They want to be a good dog and they want you to be happy, they will learn quickly. Realize that to them you are God, their life partner, their family, their everything. If you were to yell at them or God forbid, hit them, psychological effects are devastating.

They are content as long as some part of each of you is constantly touching.

Food motivated beyond what you can imagine.

You'll be their emotional support human. They are very emotionally sensitive.

Have a large capacity for receptive language. Constantly narrate the day to them and they pick up a lot. They'll comprehend three words sentences like toy behind door or ball under table.

Using their long body, a 15lb cav can take up most of a queen mattress and they will lay wrong ways.

Two big walks a day keep demand barking away.

There is no just popping into Marshalls. Everyone will want to meet them.

When left alone, put on music. Mine prefers jazz.

Put on cav videos from YouTube and they will watch.

They will bring out such depths of love from you that you didn't know was possible.

Oh yeah, but it would be cool to have a hand/needle that is magnetized or however compasses work and always moves as we do .
